Miss Thailand Reacts After Her Teeth Fell Out in Viral Pageant Moment

Kamolwan Chanago is smiling through it—literally. 

The Miss Grand Thailand contestant revisited the moment her dentures fell out on stage – a mishap that previously went viral during the pageant preliminaries – with a lighthearted nod.

During the contest finals on March 28th, Kamolwan initially showed her natural teeth, then put in her dental retainer—a type of flipper—and gave a playful wink to the cameras.

Eighteen-year-old contestant, representing the province of Pathum Thani near Bangkok, competed against 77 others for the title of Miss Grand Thailand. However, the crown ultimately went to Pattama Jitsawat from Chonburi.

Kamolwan quickly became famous worldwide after a video of a mishap during the preliminary round of the contest on March 25 went viral. In the livestream, she started having trouble speaking when her prosthetic flipper came loose.

Even after a slight mishap, Kamolwan remained calm and finished her appearance. She briefly turned away to fix her teeth, then smiled brightly as she left the stage. Pageant organizers praised her for handling the situation with grace and professionalism.

Indeed, the Miss Grand International organization was floored by Kamolwan’s commitment. 

The event went off without a hitch, according to organizers who spoke with People magazine. They also expressed their admiration for the contestant’s poise and confidence on stage during the competition.

Kamolwan isn’t the only performer who’s gracefully dealt with a problem during a show. Other stars, like LeAnn Rimes and Taylor Swift, have also had on-stage mishaps – Taylor Swift actually chipped a tooth while performing during her Red tour in 2013.

Taylor Swift once accidentally punched herself in the tooth while trying to start singing into the microphone. She told Rolling Stone that a piece of her tooth fell onto the stage, and her first thought was to wonder which tooth it was and how much damage had been done.

As she put of the minor tooth break, “It’s just gonna be a little bit jagged, I guess.”

While performing his last song, “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)”, at the North Dakota State Fair in 2025, the American Idol judge was hit with something thrown from the audience. He didn’t let it bother him, though, and finished the song perfectly.

As one fan noted, “Carried on like a champ.”

 

During a 2023 concert in California, a Jonas Brothers member asked fans to stop throwing objects onto the stage after two bracelets nearly hit him.

Cardi B was visibly upset when someone in the front row threw a drink on her during a performance at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas in July 2023, and she reacted by throwing her microphone at them. The next day, a woman filed a report with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department claiming she had been hit. However, police stated that no arrests were made and, in August 2023, Cardi B’s lawyers were informed that the singer would not face charges.

Bebe Rexha is determined to enjoy herself despite a recent incident at her concert. In June 2023, while performing in New York City, she was hit in the face by a phone thrown from the audience. She shared a photo of her injury online, reassuring fans she was okay. According to Todd A. Spodek, the lawyer for Nicolas Malvagna—the man arrested and charged with assault—Malvagna only intended to get a photo with Rexha using his phone as a memento and never meant to hurt her.

Kelsea Ballerini was startled when someone threw a bracelet onto the stage during a concert in Idaho in June 2023. She explained on Instagram that the bracelet hit her in the eyes, but mostly just scared her rather than causing any real pain.

Okay, so everyone thinks Ava is all sweet and bubbly, but honestly? She’s fierce! I was shocked when I read she was assaulted at her L.A. show back in June. She actually tweeted about it – can you believe it?! She said this guy slapped her so hard it scratched her eye! Seriously?! And her response? She said he’s banned from all her shows forever. Good! She doesn’t mess around, and I’m so proud of her for standing up for herself. She’s amazing!

Pink found it amusing when a fan threw her a wheel of Brie during her performance at the British Summer Time Festival in London in 2023. She jokingly exclaimed, “What the fk,” and said she wanted to kiss the person who threw it. However, the next day, another fan threw a bag of ashes, leaving Pink bewildered. She asked, “This is your mom?” and admitted she didn’t know how to react.

It seems like anything goes at concerts these days! Harry Styles had to dodge various items thrown on stage during his Love on Tour, including, surprisingly, Skittles at a Los Angeles show in 2022. The candy brand even tweeted a message asking fans not to throw their products at performers.

During a February 2022 concert, Billie Eilish was thrown a pair of fake breasts by a fan while she was singing “Lost Cause.” Showing she doesn’t let things bother her, the Grammy-winning singer threw them back into the audience and continued performing.

Kid Cudi warned the audience at his 2022 Rolling Loud performance that he would leave if anyone threw anything else on stage. Shortly after, an object was thrown at him, and he followed through with his warning and left the stage.

Fans were shocked and upset when a lemon was thrown at Ariana Grande while she was performing at Coachella in 2019. Although she wasn’t pleased, Ariana quickly joked about it, telling the audience, “Someone threw a lemon at me, seriously!”
