Gabrielle Henry is on the mend.
Following a fall during the evening gown portion of the Miss Universe preliminaries, where Miss Jamaica was carried off stage on a stretcher, the president of the pageant organization has provided an update on her condition and recovery.
As many of you know, the past few days have been a little challenging, with a few unexpected health concerns popping up. But I’m so relieved to share that Dr. Gabrielle Henry is doing wonderfully! Thanks to the incredible medical team, every issue was addressed quickly and effectively. The latest report confirms she’s in good health and getting ready to go home – which is fantastic news! We’re all so grateful for the care she’s received.
The organization will keep providing updates about the situation, but Rocha emphasized that details about her health will only be shared when the family is ready, or if Dr. Henry chooses to share them herself.
Rocha described how the Miss Universe Organization responded after the 28-year-old contestant fell off the stage while walking the runway. Fortunately, her injuries weren’t life-threatening.
The statement said that as soon as the accident happened on stage, everyone acted quickly to help her. I went on stage immediately to assist, arranged for urgent medical care, and made sure she was transported to the hospital right away. I was also at the emergency room with her family, and I spoke with them directly.
To be absolutely sure we accurately assessed, monitored, and cared for her, I suggested some extra steps beyond our usual procedures. We also consulted with several different medical experts to get a complete and clear understanding of her condition.
Rocha confirmed that the organization is covering all costs associated with the situation, such as lodging, travel, and the support staff dedicated to helping the family every step of the way.

Now, the organization is focused on the contestant’s well-being.
We’ve been completely focused on Dr. Henry’s health and getting her better,” the message said. “We’re happy she’s almost ready to leave the hospital.
Following the November 19th accident, Rocha reported that Henry hadn’t suffered any broken bones. He added that she would be monitored overnight, and they would continue to update and support her family.

I was so worried to hear that Brian Austin Green had to have surgery back in April 2025! Apparently, his appendix was really close to bursting, and he’s been recovering since then. It’s good to know he’s on the mend!

He described a strange tingling sensation that still lingered in his knees and toes as of March 2025, sharing this on his Trading Secrets podcast. He explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a squat or stand on one leg without falling. Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, even though it can be harsh, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier,” Schumer was surprised to see doctors commenting on her appearance online. They suggested she might have Cushing syndrome, a condition potentially caused by high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted Schumer to realize she’d received steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section. She later learned she had a form of Cushing syndrome that would resolve on its own, which she called “the greatest news imaginable.” Schumer shared that she wouldn’t have known about the condition if not for the online attention.

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin. She suddenly began to have stroke-like symptoms, struggling to speak and noticing her face drooping. Although her symptoms briefly subsided, she went to the hospital for evaluation. Doctors discovered she had a small blood clot in her brain, which they identified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Further testing at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart, known as a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to travel to her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey successfully underwent a procedure to close the PFO and is now doing well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained that the virus affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also mentioned it became increasingly difficult to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, calling the situation scary and random, but expressing gratitude that he was going to be okay.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he suffered a severe headache while in Atlanta and lost consciousness before he could take an aspirin. He doesn’t remember the next 20 days.
Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, doctors discovered he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed deep gratitude for the prayers he received, saying, “I needed every prayer.”

While filming the show, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, quickly realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she temporarily lost her ability to speak, often muttering incoherently.
Though she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure initially failed, causing a major bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia reports she has now made a full recovery and is doing well.

In a September 2024 podcast interview, she described a time when she was losing her hearing, unable to walk for more than a few minutes without needing to rest for hours, and experiencing constant stomach pain. She faced a confusing array of diagnoses and conflicting advice from doctors.
Determined to find answers, Woodley, who prefers to keep her specific condition private, combined traditional medical care with holistic and herbal remedies. This search for well-being lasted for ten years.
She explained that the physical discomfort led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image, identity, and feeling comfortable in her own body. However, after addressing both her physical and mental health, Woodley is now doing much better. She is happy to report that her health issues have resolved and she is currently very healthy.
