After a leak revealed details earlier today, Sony has now officially confirmed the cover athlete and release date for MLB: The Show 26.
The rumors were true: Aaron Judge will be featured on the cover of this year’s baseball video game, which will be released on March 17, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The official announcement doesn’t mention a Nintendo Switch 2 version.
Sony announced that a gameplay trailer for the new game will be released next week on February 3rd, giving fans a detailed look at what to expect.
Usually, each new MLB The Show game has a different baseball player featured on the cover. But the next installment, MLB The Show 26, will be doing things a little differently.

The report states that Aaron Judge, the New York Yankees player, will be featured on the cover of the new game. He previously appeared on the cover of MLB The Show 18.
According to billbil-kun, the game is scheduled to come out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 17, 2026. A version for the Switch 2 is currently unconfirmed.
