For years, Sony’s MLB The Show games have always featured a different baseball player on the cover. But that’s changing with the next installment, MLB The Show 26.
Recently, the game’s social media announced that the next installment won’t feature a new cover athlete, which sparked a lot of discussion among fans.
Thanks to a reliable leak from billbil-kun (via Dealabs), we might already know who will be on the cover of MLB The Show 26 and when the game will be released, even before an official announcement is made.
The report states that Aaron Judge, the New York Yankees player, will be featured on the cover of the new game. He previously appeared on the cover of MLB The Show 18.
According to billbil-kun, the game is scheduled to come out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 17, 2026. A version for the Switch 2 is currently unconfirmed.
Considering this source has been reliable in the past, we think this information is likely true and an official announcement should come shortly.
