The release of the smartphone game Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble might seem strange, but it’s actually pretty common for mobile games.
The show’s spin-off has been out in the Philippines for a short while, and now it’s becoming available in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and other Nordic countries.
Releasing the game to a wider audience will help the developer, Oh BiBi, gather valuable feedback. This information will be used to refine the game’s design, adjust gameplay balance, and make overall improvements.
Considering how much testing is happening, we anticipate the game will be officially released next year. It will be fascinating to see how heavily PlayStation promotes it.
Sony seems interested in entering the growing mobile gaming market, but hasn’t openly discussed its plans. While they’ve created games like MLB The Show Mobile and Horizon Steel Frontiers, they haven’t really been advertised by Sony yet.
Honestly, if they really want this to work, they need to go all-in. Like, do they want these games to be successful? I’m really hoping they’ve got a solid plan for promoting everything in the new year. I need to see some effort!
