Erin McNaught‘s baby boy is on the mend.
The Australian mother posted an update about her 8-year-old child, Obi, following his diagnosis of a substantial brain tumor located on the right side.
Accompanying a video of her and boyfriend Stasi Kotaras (known as Stace Cadet), Erin shared on Instagram on July 14th, “Exactly one month ago, our son Obi underwent surgery to remove a large brain tumor. He was only diagnosed with it a few days before the procedure.
She recounted how Stas and herself woke up early, with Stas heading to the hospital while she lingered a bit longer, grappling with the impending events. Overwhelmed, she stepped onto the balcony, watched the sunrise, and cried so deeply that she struggled to breathe. The idea that this might be the last sunrise we shared with him here on earth was almost too much to bear.
Thankfully, at age 43, Obi successfully underwent surgery, allowing his family to return to the balcony and enjoy the evening sunset.
After that, Obi has continuously impressed us with his remarkable progress, Erin went on to say. He’s been making strides each day, exceeding expectations more and more. His future is still uncertain, but as we all know, the future is always unpredictable. For the moment, we are filled with elation, gratitude, and a heartwarming sense of happiness.
She expressed, “We embrace him tightly, and our older sons too, and we’re filled with wonder at our small household and our good fortune. And our love for one another is strongest.
In June, Erin mentioned that she and Stace, a music producer, first made a decision to bring Obi to the hospital because they had observed a significant change or deterioration in his behavior over a short period of time.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I openly shared my struggles on Instagram last Friday, June 11th. I’ve been grappling with issues related to eating, sleeping, and maintaining mental clarity, which have recently escalated. After undergoing an MRI scan, the results confirmed a significant tumor residing on the right side of my brain. The diagnosis is a large brain tumor.
Shortly after receiving his diagnosis, Obi endured a six-hour long operation that was described as “frightening” by Erin.
Currently, our primary concern is his healing process, as expressed on Instagram on June 26th. Witnessing him laugh, play, and engage with the world once more, filled with happiness, has brought us immense joy. Though there’s a lot of ground to cover ahead, we are profoundly thankful that he is no longer in pain.

Devine stated on an episode of the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025 that it has been a very difficult time for him. He explained that he has been experiencing spasms throughout his body and was told by doctors that he might not live much longer, specifically within the last year.
He observed that pain is intermittent, expressing it as, “There are several oddities and imperfections in my body that sometimes cause discomfort.
Previously part of Bachelor Nation, this individual revealed that he had to visit the hospital while crawling on his hands and knees due to intense back pain, which worsened during a recreational vehicle journey with a companion.
In his podcast episode from March 2025, he expressed that his legs from knees to toes were still experiencing a strange tingling sensation, which was unexpected. To put it in perspective, he mentioned (trying not to sound arrogant) that just two or three weeks earlier, or perhaps a month ago, he was squatting around 295 pounds. Now, however, he’s unable to do even a single-legged squat without falling – it’s as if he had suffered a stroke or something similar.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

Although the internet can sometimes be unkind, Amy Schumer is grateful that this time it provided her with helpful insights. In an episode of Call Her Daddy from January 2025, she recounted her experience when the internet criticized her appearance after a series of interviews. However, medical professionals chimed in and suggested she might have Cushing syndrome due to elevated cortisol levels or steroid injections. When Amy realized she had been receiving steroid injections for her scars from procedures like breast reduction and C-section, she understood that the internet’s harsh comments may have led her to this diagnosis. Now, Amy is relieved to know that she’s healthy, as she shared in a February 2024 News Not Noise newsletter.
In a game held in December 2024, an AHL player sustained deep cuts from another player’s skate. He required 25 stitches to close the wounds. As an over-the-moon fan, I can’t help but share Hailey Bieber’s heart-stopping moment that left me speechless just hearing about it! One sunny morning, while enjoying breakfast with her beloved husband Justin Bieber, Hailey felt a chill run down my spine as she started experiencing symptoms similar to a stroke.
She recounted the event a month later on YouTube, “Justin asked if I was alright, and I didn’t respond because I wasn’t sure,” she said. “Then he asked again, but when I tried to reply, I couldn’t. The right side of my face began drooping, and I struggled to form a sentence.”
Fortunately, the facial drooping ceased, and her speech returned, but Hailey didn’t take any chances. She rushed to the hospital to ensure everything was in order. “They ran some scans,” she continued, “and they found that I had experienced a small blood clot in my brain, which they classified as a TIA [Transient Ischemic Attack].”
Later on, Hailey visited the University of California, Los Angeles, where she discovered an issue with her heart – a patent foramen ovale (PFO). She explained that the blood clot had made its escape through this hole in her heart and journeyed to her brain, causing the TIA.
Hailey underwent a successful PFO closure procedure and is now feeling fantastic!
In the same year as Hailey’s health incident, Justin Bieber also encountered a similar predicament. Specifically, in June 2022, Justin disclosed that he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a condition that led to temporary facial paralysis and necessitated the cancellation of the rest of his Justice World Tour. In an Instagram video, he explained, “This virus attacks the nerve in my ear and my facial nerves, causing this side of my face to be paralyzed.” As you can see, his eye doesn’t blink, he can’t smile on one side of his face, his nostril doesn’t move, so there’s full paralysis on that side. He also mentioned it became increasingly difficult for him to eat. However, the paralysis eventually subsided. Hailey shared during a June 2022 episode of Good Morning America that Justin is doing well and feels much better now, despite the situation being quite frightening and unexpected. She expressed her gratitude that he’s okay.
Jamie Foxx initially chose to keep secret the details of his hospitalization in April 2023, but later shared his experiences. In Atlanta, he recounted, “I was experiencing such a severe headache that I asked my friend for an aspirin. Before I could even take it, I passed out and I don’t remember for about 20 days.”
His first visit to a doctor resulted in a cortisone shot and dismissal, but his concerned sister Deidra Dixon then drove him to a hospital where they discovered the cause: a brain bleed that led to a stroke. Following a surgery on April 24th, Foxx awoke on May 4th in a wheelchair, unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.
“All I can say is that I am grateful for every prayer,” he expressed, “because I needed every one of them.
As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share Emilia Clarke’s harrowing journey, as she penned down her experiences in the gripping essay titled “A Battle for My Life,” published in The New Yorker. During filming for Game of Thrones, the actress found herself battling a different kind of fight off-screen.
In her own words, she described an agonizing episode at the gym where “I reached the toilet, sank to my knees, and proceeded to be violently, voluminously ill.” The pain, she explained, was relentless and growing worse, and she knew instinctively that her brain was damaged.
She was rushed to the hospital for a scan, and the diagnosis was grim: a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a life-threatening type of stroke caused by bleeding in the space surrounding the brain. She had suffered an aneurysm, a rupture in one of her arteries.
The surgery to seal the aneurysm was excruciating, but she persevered and eventually recovered. However, during recovery, she struggled with aphasia, uttering meaningless words. A week later, the aphasia subsided, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month.
However, a 2013 brain scan revealed that the growth had doubled in size, necessitating another surgery. “When they woke me, I was screaming in pain,” she wrote. “The procedure had failed. I had a massive bleed and the doctors made it plain that my chances of surviving were precarious if they didn’t operate again. This time they needed to access my brain in the old-fashioned way—through my skull.”
Fortunately, Emilia is now thriving and has regained her health completely. Her courage and resilience continue to inspire us all.
Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, expresses her gratitude towards her family following a severe stroke she experienced in January 2024. The family swiftly gathered by her side after she shared the news with them through text messages and pictures. As Cori faced additional health issues related to lupus, her stay at the hospital extended beyond what she had anticipated. “I could have been discharged after my stroke,” she explained in an interview with TopMob News correspondent Will Marfuggi in December 2024, “but my lupus wasn’t doing well, and my kidneys were failing. It was a challenging time.” Today, Cori is on the road to recovery, stating that she has made progress in regaining her motor skills and overall is doing well.
During the challenging period of her twenties, Shailene Woodley experienced numerous health troubles. She revealed in a 2024 episode of the SHE MD Podcast that her hearing was fading, walking for more than five minutes left her needing to rest for hours, and everything she ate upset her stomach. This was a combination of various health issues, with different doctors offering conflicting diagnoses.
Determined to find answers, Shailene, who has a background in holistic medicine and herbalism, decided to collaborate with both conventional medical professionals and independent healers. It took her a decade to navigate this journey. Along the way, she developed fears around food due to stomach discomfort, which led to body image issues, confusion about identity, and feelings of insecurity within herself.
After addressing both her physical and mental health concerns, Shailene is now thriving. She shared that her health issues eventually resolved themselves, leaving her in a state of good health. “I’m so grateful to say that I am healthy,” she said happily.
