Mom of “Okay Baby” Has No Memory of His Death Due to Brain Injury

Katelynn Ordone is reflecting on a devastating moment. 

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share an update about a heartbreaking event that happened more than two months ago, affecting a loving mother and her family. Tragically, their 2-year-old son, Preston Ordone, known as “Okay Baby” on TikTok, was involved in a car accident along with his parents, Jaelan and myself.

In the aftermath of this terrible incident, I found myself dealing with an injury that left me with no recollection of the accident itself. Despite this unfortunate circumstance, I wanted to reach out and let everyone who has been supporting us know about my current state of health.

In a recent TikTok post on July 3rd, I shared that for approximately two to three days following an accident, I’ve got no recollection whatsoever. This incident resulted in a severe brain trauma, leading to significant memory loss.

Although she couldn’t personally remember the details of the crash, the 25-year-old (who had her 7-year-old daughter Paisley Ordonez uninvolved in the April incident) managed to gather some information afterwards. She explained that she was able to locate her phone right after the accident.

Katelynn revealed, “Initially, I spoke to 911 operators for about five minutes. I discovered this due to my call logs, and later, my parents confirmed that I had made the call.

During a call with her parents, the content creator, who had an accident involving her Ford truck after swerving off the road near a location 50 miles north of New Orleans (as reported by police), mentioned that she had marked her location for them but was feeling quite dazed and incoherent.

During certain times, I was able to speak, but there were other times when I could only express myself through groans and moans of pain. And there were periods of quiet where I didn’t say anything at all. – Katelynn explained.

Before assistance came for her and Jaelan (both of whom survived the accident), the influencer’s father noted an instance that greatly strengthened her belief in God.

Katelynn shared, “Suddenly, I found myself flawlessly reciting the Lord’s Prayer over the phone. Just a heads-up, after my dad mentioned it, I had to look up this prayer because though I was familiar with it and could recognize it when heard, I didn’t know it well enough to recite it perfectly.

Katelynn admitted that she has a long road ahead for healing, but that moment has aided her in dealing with the sorrow of losing Preston. The St. Tammany Parish coroner’s office determined his cause of death following the accident to be “traumatic injuries from a car crash,” which they classified as an accidental incident.

She expressed, “It’s given me a sense of optimism, and it feels like this optimism comes from God alone. I wouldn’t have the belief that I will meet Him again without His presence.

Katelynn remarked, “I want to make it clear that what happened didn’t eliminate all my suffering, believe me, I experienced every ounce of it. However, God has provided me with the resilience needed to persevere.

In December 27th, 2022, the parents of little Paisley Ordone announced the arrival of their newborn son, Preston.

At age seven, Paisley adores the companionship of her younger brother. As she reminisces about Preston’s daring personality, it appears that those traits might have been inherited from his older sister, Katelynn.

The mother of two playfully commented on Instagram on March 8, saying, “My daughter was just as wild at his age. That’s why there are five years between them. She has grown slightly less wild as she’s gotten older.

In a TikTok video posted on August 2024, Katelynn instructed Preston, saying, “Wait for Lovie one more minute, alright?” Following her instructions with an affirmative nod, the toddler swiftly entered the pool after informing his mother.

The user said that it always suits them and he keeps leaping regardless, to which another user, Katelynn, noted that Preston isn’t fully understanding the meaning of ‘OK’, as she humorously titled the video, “We’re still working on what ‘OK’ means for him.

Instead of the pool, Preston had a special fondness for mud, and he would spend hours delighting in splashing around in mud puddles that were found near his home.

Rather than adoring the pool, it was mud that held a special place in Preston’s heart, as he spent countless hours frolicking in the muddy puddles outside his residence.

Oh my goodness, if I were to guess what Carson Matranga, the cherished one in Katelynn and Jaelan’s lives, might be up to in his heavenly abode, I’d wager he’s discovered some divine mud there and is undoubtedly hopping around and boogying with pure joy!

On occasion, Katelynn posted “Preston Interview” clips on her social media platforms, engaging him with queries about his favorite foods and other personal details.

His favorite song? “Baby” by Justin Bieber, which he went on to sing. 

What can I say about the Grinch? He gives me chills; I feel like I’d love to give him a good scolding.
