Studio Aurum announced that the monster-taming RPG Monster Crown: Sin Eater will be available on Switch and PC (via Steam) on April 30th.
Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
Discover the richly detailed worlds of The Crown Nation, created entirely by artist Arex. Enjoy the immersive sound of Sin Eater, with music and sound design led by Onion_mu and the sound team. Collect and breed over 1000 unique monsters, beautifully illustrated by RacieB, using the most advanced crossbreeding system ever seen in a video game, developed by Kyle Toom.
Get ready for a uniquely strange and captivating story! Game Director APE-AHAB and Jason Walsh, creator of Monster Crown, are bringing you Monster Crown: Sin Eater, a journey into a truly wild and mind-bending world.
Discover over a thousand uniquely designed Monster sprites, available in hundreds of colors! You’re sure to find the perfect Monster for your team. Then, take things to the next level by crossbreeding or fusing Monsters to create even more powerful creatures!
In this game, you play as Asur, a young man who dreams of becoming a Monster Tamer, following in his brother’s footsteps. When his family is threatened, he’s forced to take action, with the potential to drastically change the kingdom.
Make sure you gather a strong team to help you. Asur can’t succeed on their own!
So, I’ve discovered some monsters actually change when you hit them with different elements! It’s seriously fun experimenting – I’ve been trying out all sorts of weird items on my monsters just to see what happens, and you never know what awesome new form they’ll take!
Collecting every monster, plus all their different forms and combinations, is a huge challenge best left to dedicated collectors.
As you journey through the game, you’ll encounter towns full of memorable people. What really sets Monster Crown: Sin Eater apart is its branching conversations and choices that genuinely affect the story.
As you explore the world, you’ll find Monsters in the wilderness. Each Monster is unique, with different behaviors – some will run away, others will attack, and the most dangerous ones will secretly follow you.
