The anticipated game, “Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection,” will officially launch on March 13, 2026.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve got to say that Monster Hunter Stories is unlike most Monster Hunter games you might be familiar with. Instead of the typical action RPG format, this spin-off series has a unique turn-based action twist. You see, as a Rider, you’re not just slaying monsters, but stealing and hatching their eggs to raise your very own Monsties for combat companionship.
Originally launched in 2016 on the Nintendo 3DS, this game quickly became a fan favorite. Its popularity was so immense that it got ported to various platforms like the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, and even mobile devices!
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Release Date
- March 13, 2026
The upcoming “Monster Hunter Stories” video game was initially announced during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase in late July. An initial trailer, released then, hinted at a 2026 release, but more recent details from the September 2025 Nintendo Direct live stream have confirmed March 13, 2026, as the official release date. A fresh trailer showcased at this later event has also suggested that several key features from the first two games will be reintroduced, such as hatching and nurturing Monsties, and a combat system reminiscent of traditional Japanese Role-Playing Games (JRPGs), which differs slightly from what players might expect in a typical “Monster Hunter” game.
