Recent discoveries within the game’s code suggest that Monster Hunter Wilds might run at 30 frames per second on the Switch 2, utilizing DLSS technology to improve performance.

For some time, there have been rumors about a version of Monster Hunter Wilds coming to the next Nintendo Switch. People digging into the game’s code have been sharing details, and a recent Reddit post discussed features like local multiplayer, DLSS technology, and how the game handles non-player characters. Now, information about the game’s graphics settings has also appeared online.

Monster Hunter Wilds Switch 2 Preset Seemingly Runs Better than the ‘Very Low’ Preset on PC

A Chinese group that previously leaked information about Monster Hunter Wilds has shared details about the Switch 2 version, spotted by Necrolipe on X (formerly Twitter) via VGC. According to the leaks, the game will run at 1080p resolution and 30 frames per second when played on a TV, using DLSS technology to improve performance. The Switch 2 version is expected to look better than the lowest graphics settings on the PC version. It’s important to note that a video shared by Necrolipe showing these details is based on early game data and may not reflect the final, released version.

Given Capcom’s plans to launch several major games—including Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, Monster Hunter Stories 3, Mega Man, Resident Evil Village, and Resident Evil 7 Biohazard—on the new Switch 2, it’s very possible Monster Hunter Wilds will also be available on the platform at launch. Capcom has already committed to Day One releases for these other titles, making a Wilds port seem likely.

Just a quick update: Monster Hunter Wilds got a free update last month, and the developers have shared a plan for future updates too. Earlier this year, it was also the best-selling game! We’re curious to hear your thoughts on the leaked graphics settings for the Switch 2 version. Share your opinions in the comments, and come chat with other fans on the TopMob Discord server.
