Capcom has released a new trailer detailing the upcoming collaboration between *Monster Hunter Wilds* and *Final Fantasy XIV*. It confirms that the challenging “Planetes Protocol (Savage)” quest will be available on September 29th. Players who have finished the standard Planetes Protocol Quest in *Monster Hunter Wilds* can test their skills against Omega Planetes, a difficult encounter inspired by *Final Fantasy XIV*. Successfully completing this challenge will unlock the ability to craft unique weapons and armor.
The update on September 29th will bring two new jobs from *Final Fantasy XIV*: Dark Knight and Pictomancer. Players can also look forward to facing Arch-Tempered Nu Udra, plus new cosmetic items available for purchase, and the ability to customize how their characters celebrate completing quests with new animations.
The December 2025 update for *Monster Hunter Wilds* (Title Update 4) will include improvements for the PC version of the game. These improvements are part of a larger effort to optimize performance, and further updates are planned after December to continue enhancing the game. Players can also expect smaller improvements to the PC version in the weeks leading up to Title Update 4. Please keep in mind that the release timeline is subject to change.
The latest update for *Monster Hunter Wilds*, Title Update 2, released on June 30th, bringing new monsters like Lagiacrus and Seregios, a more challenging version of Uth Duna (Arch-Tempered), and customizable Layered Weapons. A special in-game event, the Festival of Accord: Flamefete Season, also started, featuring quests centered around the Arch-Tempered Uth Duna.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available to play on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam. In a preview review, Final Weapon gave the game a 4 out of 5 rating, calling it a strong continuation of Capcom’s popular Monster Hunter series.
