Publisher 11 bit studios and developer Digital Sun have announced that Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will launch in 2026 on Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store). The game will also be available through Xbox Game Pass.

Gameplay
Return to the world of Will, the daring merchant, in this follow-up to the popular roguelike RPG! Explore colorful, ever-shifting worlds in search of ancient artifacts, battling relentless enemies and overcoming tricky obstacles. You’ll have a variety of weapons at your disposal, and your trusty backpack is key – carefully organizing your collected items unlocks powerful combinations and helps you become more successful with each attempt.
Return to your shop – which is also your home – and turn your treasures into profit! Get the best prices when you buy and sell, help your customers, and keep everything tidy by unlocking helpful boosts, decorating, and cleaning up messes. Use your earnings to make your shop more appealing and efficient, and to improve your equipment so each adventure brings even greater rewards. That’s the life of a merchant adventurer!
Setting
In Moonlighter, players take on the role of merchants who journey between different worlds, trading unique and wonderful items. The main character, Will, once explored these realms, collecting valuable loot and then selling it in his busy shop.
Following the occurrences in the initial game, Will finds himself stranded in the strange, goo-filled world of Tresna, having lost his original home. He’s accompanied by both friends from before and newly met companions.
A wealthy collector of rare items approaches Will with a deal. If Will can find valuable treasures hidden in three strange worlds, the collector will send him and his friends back home.
But at what cost will this deal be fulfilled?
