The event known as EVO has concluded, but NetherRealm Studios unveiled exciting updates for Mortal Kombat 1. Intriguingly, the series co-creator, Ed Boon, shared that the game surpassed sales of 6.2 million units, marking a substantial increase compared to earlier this year when it crossed over five million in sales.
Just rolled out is a fresh equilibrium update that makes changes to several combatants, among them Havik, Kenshi, Li Mei, Liu Kang, Rain, Reptile, Shang Tsung, as well as DLC characters like Omni-Man, Ermac, Conan the Barbarian, and Homelander. To add to that, characters like Frost, Darrius, Jax, Goro, Stryker, Sektor, Sub-Zero, Mavado, Tremor, and others from the Kameo Fighters group have also been tweaked.
Take a look at the modifications in the video you see below. Boon stated that the team aims to create their most equitable game, thus it’s possible that more balance adjustments and immediate fixes might come up later. Keep an eye out for any new developments.
The first installment of Mortal Kombat is playable on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. However, NetherRealm Studios, the developers behind it, revealed in May that they would no longer add new characters or story DLC for this game as they are now concentrating on their upcoming project (which is believed to be Injustice 3).
As a dedicated Mortal Kombat fan, I can’t help but notice all the recent buzz surrounding our favorite game! Let’s dive right in with MK1. With an impressive 6.2 million games sold, we’re as passionate as ever about perfecting it to be the ultimate balanced experience.
