Developers Digital Eclipse, in partnership with publisher Atari, have unveiled the availability of “Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection” on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 (when available), and PC.
The Mortal Kombat Trilogy, initially released in 1996 as an upgraded version of Mortal Kombat 3 and featuring characters and stages from both Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat II, is now confirmed to be playable in the collection. This weekend, at EVO 2025, attendees will have their first chance to try out this collection version at Atari’s dedicated booth on the show floor.
Advance reservations for the real-world versions of “Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection” are being accepted at the moment through the Atari Store. Here are the editions that are up for grabs:

3. Premium Edition (limited quantity)
4. Kollector’s Edition (extremely limited quantity)

- Price: $49.99 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series / One, and Switch; $59.99 on Switch 2 (game on card)
- Test your might with the physical edition of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection, which combines multiple classic versions of the series with Digital Eclipse’s interactive documentary format. As a special bonus, the package will include an exclusive slipcover, available only to fans who pre-order. Choose the Standard Edition slipcover, or one of four ninja-themed slipcovers available only on Atari.com
- Deluxe Edition
- Price: $69.99 on PlayStation 5 and Switch; $79.99 on Switch 2 (game on card)
- Bring home the deluxe experience a true warrior deserves. This Deluxe Edition of Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection includes a SteelBook case, magnet, poster, lenticular card, arcade flyers, and more.
- Kollector’s Edition
- Price: $149.99 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series / One, Switch 2, Switch, and PC (Steam code)
- Celebrate the classic fighting franchise with the ultimate Kollector’s Edition. This kollection includes the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection game along with exclusive extras for an unbeatable Mortal Kombat experience. Packaged in an individually numbered kollector’s box, the set includes a Goro controller holder statue, commemorative arcade token, hardcover art and lore book, and more.
The “Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection” is slated for launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, original Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in the year 2025. However, while the physical versions will hit shelves on December 12, the exact date for digital release is yet to be announced at a later time.
