Following a recent leak, Milestone has officially announced MotoGP 26, the newest installment in the popular motorcycle racing series. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and the upcoming Switch 2 on April 29th. This version won’t be released on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. A trailer for MotoGP 26 has also been released and can be viewed below.
A key new feature in MotoGP 26 is a Rider Rating Card for each racer, based on four main areas: lap time, pace, head-to-head performance, and reliability. These attributes combine to create an overall rider rating that players can view before making choices. The ratings will change automatically to reflect how riders are performing in real life, and will be visible both within Career Mode and in other game modes.
The upcoming MotoGP title will feature the official riders and tracks from the 2026 season for all three categories: MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3. It also boasts a revamped physics engine that focuses on rider control. Players will now manage a rider’s weight distribution to influence how the bike handles during races, offering a more immersive and realistic experience.
The career mode is getting a big upgrade with a completely 3D paddock, which will be the central area for each race weekend. Players will now experience more of what it’s like to be a MotoGP rider off the track, with two new features. First, they can participate in Thursday press conferences to set goals – whether that’s challenging other racers or investing in bike improvements. Second, a personal manager will help players handle contracts, career progression, and all the important business side of being a professional rider.
MotoGP 26 will bring back the Race Off game mode, now featuring a new track and a new type of bike called Production Bikes. These 1000cc bikes will join existing categories like Motard, Flat Track, and Minibikes. Race Off is all about casual racing and is intended to help players practice and improve their skills before tackling the main championship.
We’re updating Arcade mode, which we added last year, to be easier for new MotoGP players. It will have simpler controls and more forgiving handling. For experienced players, Pro mode will deliver a much more realistic and challenging riding experience.
Developer Milestone has announced that MotoGP 26 will let players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S compete online together in races with up to 22 players. Players on Nintendo Switch and the new Switch 2 won’t be able to play online with those on other platforms, and their online races will be capped at 12 players. The game also includes local split-screen multiplayer.
