MotoGP 26 Gameplay Showcases Various Tracks, Bike Types, and Weather Conditions

Ahead of the April 29th launch of the motorcycle racing game MotoGP 26, the developers at Milestone have shared a new trailer with over 15 minutes of gameplay footage. The trailer, available to watch below, highlights extended gameplay from various races, featuring different bikes and tracks.

The video begins with a typical race shown from the rider’s perspective. It then demonstrates different times of day and features a third-person view of a race in heavy rain, highlighting how weather affects the game’s handling. Next, we see a different style of motorcycle racing, before returning to the fast-paced action the sport is known for, with a focus on 1000cc bikes competing in single-make races.

Okay, so I’ve been watching the gameplay, and the biggest thing they’re pushing with MotoGP 26 is the new handling system. It’s built on a totally reworked physics engine, which basically means way more control over your bike – especially when you’re leaning into corners or trying to recover. They’ve also added a bunch of new animations for the riders themselves, making everything look smoother. Another cool thing is Race Off mode is back, and it’s set in the UK this time, with two brand new tracks where you can mess around on Motard bikes, Flat Trackers, and Minibikes. The trailer showed some awesome footage of tracks like the Circuit of the Americas and Portimão in the sunshine, and even Silverstone getting soaked – it looked intense!

Milestone recently revealed MotoGP 26 with a new trailer, introducing a ‘Racing Card’ system for each rider. These cards show a rider’s strengths in four key areas – lap time, pace, head-to-head performance, and reliability – providing an overall rating to help players choose racers. Importantly, these ratings will change based on how the riders perform in actual races and will affect all game modes.

Career mode is getting a makeover with a completely 3D paddock, letting players experience life both on and off the track. You’ll now have things like Thursday press conferences and a personal manager to help guide your career. The manager will be key to handling contracts, setting goals – even publicly challenging your rivals – and generally progressing your racing journey.

The latest installment in the racing series, MotoGP 26, will be available on PC (through Steam, the Microsoft Store, and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and the new Switch 2. Developers Milestone have confirmed the game will also be optimized for handheld gaming devices like the ROG Ally and Ally X, making it playable on the go. MotoGP 26 will support full cross-platform multiplayer races with up to 22 players on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. However, Switch and Switch 2 players won’t be able to race with players on other platforms, and their online races will be limited to 12 players.
