With the release of MotoGP 26 on April 29th getting closer, the game’s developer, Milestone, has released a new, detailed trailer. The seven-and-a-half-minute video shows off features of the game, including its focus on the 2026 season and how rider stats will work.
MotoGP 26 will feature all 38 teams from the 2026 racing season, letting players compete with over 70 riders. The game will accurately reflect each rider’s real-world skill level through dynamic ratings that are updated regularly throughout the season.
As a huge MotoGP fan, I’m really excited about how much better the race weekend experience feels in this new version! They’ve recorded sounds right at the track, and it really makes it feel authentic. Plus, the whole presentation is designed to look like a real TV broadcast – from the races themselves to the stats and even the management screens. It’s all about making it feel as realistic as possible, and honestly, it’s working!
The trailer showcases the game’s new control system, which makes bikes feel more realistic. Players will have greater control, especially when handling weight shifts during maneuvers like fast, sharp turns. The developers have focused on realistic animations for everything the rider does, from staying on course on straightaways to preparing for turns.
Similar to previous versions, MotoGP 26 offers both Arcade and Pro modes. Pro mode provides the authentic racing experience, while Arcade mode is designed to be more accessible for players new to the series.
MotoGP 26 will offer a range of options to customize your racing experience, letting you adjust the difficulty of AI opponents and utilize features like assisted braking, throttle control, and cornering guidance.
Players can build their career from the very beginning as a rookie, working their way up the rankings. Alternatively, they can start as an established rider. The game will focus on the impact of your choices – you’ll need to negotiate good contracts and maintain strong relationships with your team to succeed.
The latest installment of the MotoGP series, MotoGP 26, is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and the new Switch 2 console. It will also work with the ROG Ally and Ally X handheld devices. Players on most platforms will be able to race online with up to 22 people, but the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions will only support online races with up to 12 players and won’t have full cross-platform multiplayer. You can see the game in action with a gameplay video released last month.
