Developer A&R Atelier has announced that new Ecco the Dolphin games and products are officially in the works. The studio, founded in Half Moon Bay, California, includes the original creators of the beloved Ecco the Dolphin series.
Ed Annunziata, the creative leader behind the original Ecco the Dolphin games and currently with A&R Atelier, had previously shared plans to release updated versions of Ecco the Dolphin and Ecco: The Tides of Time for the Sega Genesis, and to create a brand new Ecco the Dolphin game.
Annunziata announced in a press release that after years of work, they’re excited to re-release Ecco. She explained that Ecco isn’t just a game featuring a dolphin; it’s a story that connects different worlds.
