I’m so excited! Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is officially coming back with its third season later this year! It feels like forever since we last saw these characters. This year is already shaping up to be huge for anime, with a ton of new shows, but honestly, I’m especially thrilled about the returning series, and Mushoku Tensei is definitely one of the biggest! It’s a bit of a controversial isekai, but it’s incredibly popular, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
The anime series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation has announced that Season 3 will premiere in July 2026. While a specific date hasn’t been set yet, the show released a new teaser poster to celebrate the upcoming season.
What to Know for Mushoku Tensei Season 3

The anime series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is scheduled to return in July 2026 as part of the Summer anime season. Crunchyroll will be the exclusive streaming platform for fans outside of Japan. The team behind the first two seasons is also returning, including Ryosuke Shibuya as director for Studio Bind, Sanae Shimada and Ryota Furukawa handling character designs, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa composing the music.
As hinted at in recent posters and trailers, Eris will be a major focus in Mushoku Tensei Season 3. After suddenly leaving following a night with Rudeus in Season 1, her departure sent him into a period of sadness and struggle throughout Season 2. Now that Rudeus has moved past that difficult time, Eris is returning, and her arrival is sure to create new challenges and drama.
Why Is Mushoku Tensei So Divisive?
While other isekai anime also explore mature themes, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation has faced controversy due to its handling of them. The main character, reborn into a new world, remembers his past life from infancy and unfortunately acts on inappropriate impulses even as a young child, which has been a long-standing issue for many viewers.
Even with some controversy surrounding it, Mushoku Tensei has become a popular anime thanks to its exciting action and high-quality animation by Studio Bind. As the studio’s first project, it quickly made a strong impression, and now, after three seasons, fans are eagerly awaiting its return in 2026.
