The anime series My Hero Academia has concluded after nine years with its final episode. The finale included a time skip, showing fans what the future holds for Izuku Midoriya and his classmates from Class 1-A. The episode adapts the ending of the original manga and reveals the state of Japan and the hero world following the battle against All For One and Tomura Shigaraki.
Episode 170 of My Hero Academia concludes the anime series, continuing to show the fallout from the battle between heroes and villains. The episode then fast-forwards eight years after All For One’s defeat, giving viewers a glimpse of the future Deku and his friends fought so hard to achieve. Importantly, it reveals that Deku still has a path as a hero, even after losing the power of One For All.
How Does My Hero Academia End for Deku?

Episode 170 of My Hero Academia shows what happens after All For One’s defeat, revealing that Deku is now a teacher at U.A. Academy. Time has passed, with new students coming through the school, and Deku is even teaching characters like Kota Izumi, who is now of school age. The episode has a touching, slightly sad tone, as Deku confirms that One For All’s power is now gone. Despite missing it, he finds great satisfaction in training the next generation of heroes.
Deku’s classmates from Class 1-A have all become successful heroes. Some, like Ochaco Uraraka and Mezo Shoji, are using their positions to help build a better society, while others are simply helping people throughout Japan. As the story nears its conclusion, Deku receives a surprising gift: a special suit created by All Might, Melissa, and Mei Hatsume, and funded by Deku’s former classmates, to help him return to hero work.
My Hero Academia’s Finale Lets Deku Be a Hero Again

The story ends with Deku receiving a new suit, similar to one he used previously. It’s designed to help him regain the use of all his powers, and it’s a touching gift from his old classmates, showing they still want to fight alongside him. Thanks to advancements in technology – and in hero society itself – Deku can finally achieve his goals.
The series finale beautifully completes the journey that began with Deku’s ambition to become the greatest hero. What started as his personal story evolved into one about a whole group achieving a legendary future, and the final scene perfectly shows them stepping forward into an unknown tomorrow.
