The anime series My Hero Academia concluded last year, showing Deku and his classmates from Class 1-A as adults. During his final battle with Shigaraki, Deku temporarily lost his One For All power, but a new suit of armor gave him a way to return to hero work. Although the main story is finished, one last special episode, titled “More,” will be released this summer, offering a final look at UA Academy. The creators are hinting at a significant reveal before then, keeping fans excited as they prepare to say goodbye to the series.
I’m following the updates for My Hero Academia, and it looks like we’re getting some news about the upcoming “More” special tomorrow, April 3rd. They haven’t revealed exactly what the news will be, but the special itself is scheduled to be released on May 2nd. Fans are really hoping to finally see some footage, as it could be a preview of the anime’s final installment. From what I understand, Studio BONES didn’t include everything from the manga’s last chapter, so this new installment will likely show more of Midoriya and Ochaco’s relationship – if they stick to the original story.
What Lies in Wait For UA?

Even though a new installment, “More,” is expected next month, that wasn’t the only exciting news for the My Hero Academia franchise in 2026. The second season of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes recently concluded, leaving fans wondering about the future of Crawler, Pop Step, and Knuckleduster. While a third season hasn’t been officially announced, there’s still plenty of source material available to continue the spin-off story. Based on the original manga, a third season would likely be the last, but it’s still uncertain what will happen.
With the conclusion of the “More” and “Vigilantes” arcs, the anime adaptation of My Hero Academia might be coming to an end. While the first four My Hero Academia movies were successful, the studio, BONES, hasn’t announced plans for a fifth. Though My Hero Academia: You’re Next isn’t confirmed as the last movie, there’s a possibility of one more film. If a new movie does happen, it would likely follow Deku and his friends as adults, showing us what happens after they graduate from UA Academy. Since the series creator, Kohei Horikoshi, hasn’t indicated a continuation, fans should anticipate this being a final farewell to the characters.
