After nine years, the anime series My Hero Academia concluded on December 13, 2025, marking the end of a beloved story. The final episode showcases significant changes in the world, stemming from Deku’s battle with Shigaraki and his positive impact. The episode begins with an elderly woman offering help to a child – the same woman who once hesitated to help a young Tenko Shimura – demonstrating how Deku inspired people to act heroically and changed society for the better. Later, the episode shows the final days of Class 1-A at U.A. High before jumping forward in time by almost ten years.
The series finale jumps ahead in time to show Deku teaching at U.A. High, sharing his knowledge and inspiring a new generation, despite no longer having a quirk. But the story doesn’t end there – Deku decides to become a hero once more, using advanced technology and a special suit to help him fight. As the credits roll, we get a glimpse into the futures of his classmates from Class 1-A, showing the heroic paths they’ve all taken.
My Hero Academia’s Class 1-A Members Achieve the Future They Envisioned

Okay, so the series finale was amazing! It was so cool to see where everyone ended up. We got a peek into the futures of the Class 1-A students, starting with Yuga and Toru. Toru actually opened her own agency, going independent, and Yuga joined her – it’s awesome to see him really trying to make it as a hero! They make a fantastic team, their Quirks just work together, and people are really loving them. Then we saw Kirishima totally thriving as a popular hero – his calendar sold out! – and Ashido is still a huge hit, especially with younger fans, doing big dance performances. And Froppy and Uravity? They both went independent too, after being sidekicks, which is so inspiring to see!
It’s been revealed that Froppy and Uravity are now dedicated to helping young children with their Quirks, likely inspired by their experience with Toga. As expected, Mezo Shoji and Koji Koda are working to improve the rights of people with unique appearances, building on their efforts during the war. Interestingly, Jiro and Kaminari have opened their agencies side-by-side, suggesting their friendship has deepened – especially considering Kaminari used to worry about being himself.
I’ve been keeping up with what everyone’s been doing after graduating, and it’s really cool to see how they’ve all grown. Ojiro and Sato are still incredibly popular, and I even heard Ojiro’s planning on opening his own dojo! Tokoyami and Shinso have both become a bit more enigmatic, apparently working on some really hush-hush undercover assignments. Iida’s stepped into his brother’s shoes at the agency, and it’s great to see his brother back in action with some helpful tech – they’re both still dedicated to helping people. And Momo? She’s continuing to amaze everyone with her research, constantly making discoveries that benefit society.
Sero is thriving as a pro hero, but Mineta hasn’t had the success he hoped for after going solo. Todoroki quickly rose to eighth place on the Hero Chart, while Bakugo is still striving to be the top hero, though his rough personality continues to be a challenge. Meanwhile, Deku is juggling a busy life as a teacher at U.A. High. Despite the demands, he’s determined to keep inspiring people and is looking for ways to return to hero work with the help of support items, always maintaining a positive attitude.
My Hero Academia‘s Ending Is Perfect

It’s common for TV shows to have disappointing endings, especially in the shonen anime genre. However, My Hero Academia‘s finale is remarkably satisfying. The series effectively shows most of the students in Class 1-A reaching their goals, even if they face challenges. This makes the ending feel complete and incredibly well-done.
Even after losing his powers and being forced to retire from hero work for eight years, Deku ultimately achieves his dream through the use of support items, which feels like the perfect outcome for his journey. The ending powerfully reinforces the core message of My Hero Academia: inspiring others, a theme that truly shines during the final conflict. The story concludes with a hopeful look at the future, showing a brighter path for Deku, his classmates, and society as a whole, making it a truly satisfying ending for the series.
