The anime *My Hero Academia* is currently airing its final season, and the opening sequence has been updated to reflect the return of Katsuki Bakugo in the latest episode. *My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON* has been a highlight of the Fall 2025 anime releases, focusing on All Might’s struggle against All For One. In the previous episode, All Might fought valiantly but was left on the brink of death as All For One prepared to deliver the final blow to the former top hero, with the world watching.
The latest episode of *My Hero Academia* brought Bakugo back to life after he was seriously injured by Tomura Shigaraki. With Bakugo’s return, the anime has released a new opening sequence hinting at what’s to come for his character in the final season. You can watch the updated opening in the video below.
My Hero Academia’s New Opening Brings Back Bakugo
The latest episode of *My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON* marks Bakugo’s return to the fight. The new opening sequence shows him joining the other heroes in supporting Izuku Midoriya. It also briefly hints at battles between All Might and All For One, and Deku and Shigaraki, while revealing Bakugo is engaged in his own fight – attacking a massive, unidentified enemy.
In the final season of *My Hero Academia*, Bakugo plays a crucial role in saving All Might from All For One. After being injured by Shigaraki, explosive sweat began circulating in his bloodstream. Though Edgeshot managed to stabilize him with a risky maneuver, it was Bakugo’s own powerful quirk that ultimately brought him back from the brink. This near-death experience has also pushed Bakugo to develop and enhance his abilities to a new level.
What Is Happening With Bakugo Now?
The final season of *My Hero Academia* is showing how Bakugo has been developing control over his quirk, similar to what we saw during his fight with Shigaraki. Now that he’s recovered, he’s realized the pain from his explosions actually makes him incredibly fast – fast enough to keep up with All For One and deliver powerful blows that can harm the villain, even as he regenerates.
Previously, Deku was facing this challenge alone, but now Bakugo is assisting his friend and rival in recovering. Bakugo’s help will allow them to seriously injure All For One, and recent previews suggest this fight will be incredibly intense as Bakugo surpasses his previous abilities. You can continue watching the final season of *My Hero Academia* on Hulu and Crunchyroll.
