Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:

About

I always heard this beautiful idea that when you die, the dog who passed away before you will be there, waiting to greet you. It’s a really comforting thought, imagining my old buddy being there with a wagging tail.

Bong-gu, a sweet Welsh Corgi, used to be someone’s pet, but sadly, he was left behind. His tail had been shortened, suggesting he once had a loving home. Now eight years old and dealing with some health problems, it was proving difficult for him to find a new family. He spent his days feeling downcast, stuck in a cage at the animal shelter.

One day, everything changed for Bong-gu when he found a new family. His new owner was a little rough around the edges and a bit shy, but Bong-gu instantly loved him. From then on, Bong-gu enjoyed a normal dog’s life – playing, running, eating, and sleeping. Eventually, he peacefully passed away, having lived a happy and fulfilling life.

Bong-gu, a dog in heaven, wakes up and smells something wonderfully familiar—his dad! The scent is faint, but he’s certain it’s him, the one he’s been waiting for. Overjoyed, Bong-gu leaves the safety of dog heaven to find his dad, even though the journey might be risky. Just like his dad once miraculously found him, Bong-gu is now determined to find his way back to him.

Will Bong-gu be able to see his dad again?

An Adventure in a Beautiful World Filled With Stories of Dogs and People

In a world that feels like a dream between life and death, you’ll explore stunning environments – from deserts and snowy peaks to sunny beaches. This adventure offers a mix of gameplay, including action, racing, and exploration. You play as Bong-gu, a dog, so remember he has typical dog abilities – and limitations! To find his dad, Bong-gu needs help from others, both people and fellow dogs, each with their own stories. Dogs can’t do everything on their own, unlike cats!

In the End, This is a Story for All of Us

Bong-gu’s adventure ultimately leads him back to his father. While his journey is full of both happy and difficult times, the story emphasizes that people who are meant to be together will find a way. Though My Little Puppy centers around a dog, it’s a heartwarming tale about the bonds we share, saying goodbye, and the joy of being reunited. This story is meant to offer comfort to anyone hoping to reconnect with a loved one, or facing a difficult farewell, reminding us that reunions are possible. One day, those separated will meet again.
