Mysterious MCU Trademark Filing Hints at Potential [Spoiler] Marvel Project

A mysterious MCU trademark filing has emerged online.

Marvel Studios will release Avengers: Doomsday in US theaters this December. Looking ahead to 2026, more Marvel Cinematic Universe projects are planned, including the second part of Daredevil: Born Again, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and VisionQuest. While Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and X-Men ’97 exist outside the main MCU timeline, their second seasons are also expected to premiere soon.

What is the new MCU trademark filing?

A possible new Marvel Cinematic Universe project has surfaced. Twitter user @KnightGambit spotted a trademark filing by Marvel for something called “Infinity Vision.”

Just because a trademark for ‘Infinity Vision’ has been filed doesn’t guarantee a new project is definitely happening. Studios often trademark names early on, even if the project never gets made. It’s also possible ‘Infinity Vision’ isn’t the final title, or that the project doesn’t even involve the Vision character played by Paul Bettany. It could be a new name for the ‘VisionQuest’ show, or simply the title of a single episode within that series.

Though VisionQuest is intended as the conclusion to the story begun in WandaVision and Agatha All Along, creator Terry Matalas hasn’t ruled out the possibility of continuing the characters’ journeys. He explained to The Direct that whether they appear again is up to Marvel and Disney, but the current situation and group of characters leave the door open for future stories.

Essentially, “Infinity Vision” might be a new Marvel Cinematic Universe project featuring the character Vision, but it’s also possible it isn’t. There’s no guarantee it will be made at all. Right now, anything could happen, as we don’t have any more information.
