Nacon Connect, originally scheduled for March 4th, has been moved to May. This change comes after Nacon filed for insolvency and the company wants to make sure its upcoming announcements are well-received.
Due to current economic challenges, we’re prioritizing the development and refinement of our upcoming and existing games. This will give us time to perfect our projects and prepare for Nacon Connect in May, where we’ll proudly showcase the work of our studios, according to a recent announcement.
We’ll still get updates on games like GreedFall: The Dying World, Dragonkin: The Banished, and Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss. Expect to hear more soon – Dragonkin: The Banished and GreedFall: The Dying World release on March 12th and 19th, and Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is coming in April. You can even try a demo of Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss as part of Steam Next Fest until 10 AM PST.
The company’s financial difficulties stem from Bigben Interactive, its main owner, not fully repaying a loan. Now, a quick financial overhaul is needed, as a formal legal restructuring isn’t an option. While it’s unclear exactly how things will play out legally, Nacon is prioritizing avoiding job losses and supporting its employees.
With the hearing scheduled for this week, postponing Nacon Connect is a good decision. We’ll share more information and announce its return in May. Keep an eye out – there might be some surprises added to the show over the next few months!
