Polyscape announced that their underwater cooperative strategy game, NAMAKORIUM, will be available on PC via Steam in Early Access on January 30th. The game will cost 1,500 yen, but will be available at a discounted price of 1,200 yen for a limited time after launch.
This Early Access release offers a lot more content than the original demo, with eight different stages to play, each with its own challenge. A new feature lets you team up with others even if you’re playing by yourself. The game will be improved and updated regularly based on what players think.
Polyscape has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Campfire to raise 500,000 yen (about $3,177 USD) to grow NAMAKORIUM into a global brand. Based on positive feedback from players who enjoyed the demo – many said the Namakos are cute and requested merchandise – the funds will be used to create and mass-produce plushies and figures, and to promote the brand internationally. This expansion will happen alongside the launch of the game’s Early Access version.
