Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew Cast Grows for Greta Gerwig Movie

The cast for Greta Gerwig’s upcoming film, *Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew*, is expanding, and new additions suggest the movie might go beyond the original book’s story.

Who is joining Narnia: The Magician’s Newphew’s cast?

Avar Jager is joining the cast of the film, according to a new report from What’s On Netflix. The rising actor will play one of Polly’s (Beatrice Campbell) sisters, currently listed as “Polly’s sister 3.”

Interestingly, Polly’s sisters aren’t mentioned in C.S. Lewis’s original 1955 book. Although the novel does talk about her family, the movie seems to be adding to the story by including the sisters, even if their roles will be minor.

Greta Gerwig will direct and wrote the screenplay for the new Narnia film, *The Magician’s Nephew*. The movie boasts a fantastic cast including Emma Mackey, Daniel Craig, Carey Mulligan, and Meryl Streep, who will voice Aslan. This isn’t the first time Gerwig has worked with Mackey and Streep; they previously collaborated on *Barbie* and *Little Women*. Amy Pascal, Mark Gordon, and Vincent Sieber are producing the adaptation.

The Narnia movies have earned almost $1.6 billion globally from three films: *The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe* (2005), *Prince Caspian* (2008), and *The Voyage of the Dawn Treader* (2010). The films starred William Moseley, Anna Popplewell, Skandar Keynes, Georgie Henley, Liam Neeson, Tilda Swinton, James McAvoy, Ben Barnes, Peter Dinklage, and Will Poulter.

The movie *Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew* will come out on November 26, 2026. It will first be shown in theaters before becoming available to stream on Netflix.
