Next year marks the 25th anniversary of the popular anime Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto, and fans can expect some big celebrations! The series, which first aired in 2002 and continued with Naruto Shippuden in 2007, has a dedicated following always eager for new content. The original story concluded in 2017 with an extended epilogue after the Fourth Great Ninja War, and currently, the second part of the spin-off manga, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, is being released.

Naruto Has Major Projects Planned For 25th Anniversary
The report highlights a comment stating that the franchise’s 25th anniversary will mark the start of a new era. To celebrate, several projects are in the works, including fresh video content and games created with new partners, all planned for release in 2027 and the years following.
Regarding potential theme park projects, the statement explained that while they can’t share specifics yet due to unreleased information, they are dedicated to delivering what fans want.
Although specific plans haven’t been announced, 2027 promises to be a huge year for Naruto fans. We know to expect more information about the upcoming four-episode special, but that’s not all that’s in the works!
Naruto‘s Upcoming New Anime Is Still Under Production
Fans were upset and disappointed when the release of the new Naruto anime was unexpectedly delayed in late August 2023, just days before it was supposed to premiere. The studio explained they needed more time to ensure the animation quality was high, given how important the project was. Although fans had waited over two years for news, a report from China in January revealed that a studio there is currently working on large anime projects, including both One Piece and Naruto.
According to an announcement on the official website for Lijin County, Shandong province, China, a local animation studio called Huahan Animation is developing several large-scale anime projects. Initially, only One Piece and Naruto were specifically named, but it appears the studio has additional projects in the works.

They said things are still running smoothly and there haven’t been any issues with anime production, which is a huge relief as a fan!
