Naruto: Sasuke’s 7 Most Powerful Jutsu Ranked

The world of Naruto features a complex power system where most characters develop their own fighting styles built on the foundation of basic techniques called jutsu. Ninjutsu and taijutsu are the most frequently used types of jutsu, while genjutsu is primarily practiced by certain ninja clans like the Uchiha. As a member of a historically powerful clan, Sasuke always possessed the potential to become a formidable ninja. However, his strength wasn’t just inherited; he achieved it through intense dedication and overcoming many challenges. After leaving his home village, he trained with Orochimaru and eventually unlocked his Mangekyō Sharingan after the death of his brother, Itachi.

During the Fourth Great Shinobi War, Sasuke received the incredibly powerful Rinnegan after his energy combined with the Sage of the Six Paths, who shared some of his strength. Through many difficult battles, Sasuke became strong enough to challenge anyone, with Naruto being the only one capable of matching him.

7) Chidori

Sasuke quickly learned and perfected this technique from Kakashi, making it one of his signature moves. He’s used it consistently throughout the series due to his complete control and the speed and accuracy it provides in hand-to-hand combat. Because he naturally excels at both lightning and fire-based chakra, he can easily focus lightning chakra through his hands, allowing for a variety of different attacks.

6) Kirin

Sasuke’s Kirin is a signature, one-of-a-kind attack. He pulls lightning directly from storm clouds and uses his chakra to guide and amplify it into a massively powerful strike. Surprisingly, despite its incredible destructive force – capable of leveling a small mountain and destroying Itachi Uchiha’s Susanoo – Kirin doesn’t require a lot of chakra because most of the energy comes from the lightning itself. He was even able to perform this attack before unlocking his Mangekyō Sharingan.

5) Chibaku Tensei

This technique was first seen when Nagato Uzumaki attacked the Hidden Leaf Village before the Fourth Great Ninja War. It uses a power from the Rinnegan called the Deva Path, letting the user form a black sphere with their hands and launch it upwards. This sphere creates a strong pull, drawing everything nearby towards it. Although it takes a lot of chakra, Sasuke can easily make nine of these spheres and use them to contain the tailed beasts.

4) Space–Time Dōjutsu

This technique lets the user bypass normal limits of space and time, effectively traveling between dimensions. Though it doesn’t cover a large area, it’s powerful enough to change the outcome of a fight. The user can instantly swap positions with anyone or anything – an enemy, an object, anything at all. When used, a black portal briefly appears, acting as a gateway for travel.

3) Kagutsuchi

Like the main character, this deuteragonist has a uniquely terrifying ability, fitting for someone who’s just unlocked his Mangekyō Sharingan. He can reshape and fully control the Amaterasu, a powerful black flame. He activates the flames with his left eye, but uses his right eye to direct and manipulate them.

2) Susanoo

Susanoo is a signature, incredibly powerful technique for those who possess the Mangekyō Sharingan. It lets the user manifest a massive avatar made of chakra to fight for them. This avatar appears around the user and acts as an extension of their own will, providing both strong offense and defense.

1) Indra’s Arrow

Indra’s Arrow is widely considered Sasuke’s strongest attack. He creates a massive, lightning-infused bow and arrow using his Susanoo ability. This incredibly powerful technique required Sasuke to draw chakra not only from his own Susanoo, but also from all nine tailed beasts. Despite lightning-based attacks generally being weaker than wind attacks, Sasuke was able to counter Naruto’s incredibly powerful Six Paths: Ultra-Big Ball Rasenshuriken with Indra’s Arrow.
