Ever since the announcement back in 2024, enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating the premiere of the show. Their excitement peaked even higher as a specific launch date was finally revealed earlier this year.
Upon the initial announcement, Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly collectively expressed their enthusiasm in a shared statement: “We can hardly contain our excitement to finally unveil the continuation of Tony and Ziva’s story to the extraordinary fans worldwide who have always held faith that this day would arrive.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva release date
Initially slated for announcement in February 2024, with its title officially unveiled in May of the same year, the series commenced global streaming on Paramount Plus on Thursday, 4th September 2025.
Initially, the first three episodes became available all at once, while the remaining seven episodes of the series will be released weekly, every Thursday.

What is NCIS: Tony & Ziva about?
The upcoming series promises a thrilling ride, jam-packed with nonstop action, as we tag along with the characters as they flee through various European cities.
In my perspective, “I found myself immersed in the storyline of ‘NCIS: Tony & Ziva’, a spin-off where Tony departed from the NCIS team to raise our daughter after Ziva was presumed dead. However, years down the line, we discovered that Ziva wasn’t really gone-she had been alive all along! This revelation led her on one last mission with the NCIS before she eventually reconnected with Tony in Paris and us, their daughter.
After that incident, Tony and Ziva, as portrayed in NCIS, have been jointly raising their daughter Tali. However, when Tony’s security firm gets attacked, they are forced to flee across Europe, unravel the mystery of who is pursuing them, and perhaps rebuild trust between each other to achieve a unique and satisfying conclusion to their story.
Ziva star Cote de Pablo has said that the concept of trust is central to the new series.
She stated, “The concepts of trust and progression in this relationship really caught our attention as performers. We’re exploring the theme of trust and navigating their journey as co-parents, working through various obstacles and striving for harmony, which is far from easy.
Who stars in NCIS: Tony & Ziva?
In this series, the focus is primarily on the beloved characters Michael Weatherly portrays as Tony DiNozzo and Cote de Pablo as Ziva David, both of whom will return to their NCIS roles.
In NCIS, the duo were last seen together at the beginning of Season 11, when they separated to allow Ziva time to come to terms with having killed her childhood friend’s half-brother.
Ever since then, they’ve each made numerous appearances separately on screen. However, it’s only now that they will be brought back together in the spin-off series.
At San Diego Comic-Con, de Pablo expressed that the upcoming series is an extensive tale of love between two individuals embarking on a voyage. Meanwhile, Watherly emphasized that it’s not about whether they will fall in love or not, but rather when their love story will unfold.
In the upcoming series, Isla Gie steps in as the 12-year-old character Tali, whereas Lara Rossi assumes the role of her nanny, who has undergone training from the Special Air Service (SAS).
Other new additions include Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski and Agent Carter star James D’Arcy.
