After Kareem was born in July, they’ve found themselves learning how to manage the realities of raising a baby boy, which includes dealing with the bathroom-related difficulties that come along.

For Nelly, who is not only a father but also to Chanelle, aged 31, and Cornell, aged 26, from a previous relationship, and later took on the responsibility of raising his late sister’s children, Shawn and Sydney, after her unfortunate passing in March 2005, he has clear aspirations for this new phase of fatherhood.

The 50-year-old explained to Ashanti, ‘I believe she understands me better now, as initially she didn’t grasp it at all. However, with her understanding and her grandmother’s handbag, the boy managed to hit his mark!’

Ashanti clarified, “I want fans to understand that we genuinely and naturally live our lives, not just for the sake of the camera. Our lives include careers, a new marriage, and parenthood – I have a child with him, and he has children as well.

In regards to whether baby KK should be part of the show, Nelly stated that he deferred the choice to his spouse.

He clarified that regarding KK, that choice was undoubtedly hers alone. Given her role as a new mom, she might have felt nervous about sharing her firstborn with the world and expressing her anxieties.

Nelly and Ashanti initially encountered each other during the announcement of Grammy Awards nominations in 2003.
