The survival RPG Nested Lands will become available on PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG on January 23rd. META Publishing and 1 Million Bits Horde, the game’s developer, announced that console versions will be released when the full game is available.
Here is an overview of the game, via META Publishing:
Nested Lands is a role-playing game where you try to survive and build a village in medieval times, during the Black Death. You begin with absolutely nothing and have to gather supplies, fight off disease, and defend your people from bandits and monstrous creatures warped by the plague. Your decisions have real consequences, shaping the fate of your settlement and how the world around you responds. Balancing the demands of leadership, surviving a deadly epidemic, and even taking care of your own character’s well-being presents a constant challenge – and plenty of opportunities for things to go wrong.
The Early Access version brings an expanded set of mechanics shaped by community feedback:
- A deeper plague system with multiple stages and tactical consequences.
- Reworked combat and stealth.
- Smarter villagers, improved management tools, and clearer automation.
- A broad set of quality-of-life improvements across building, user interface, and progression.
Soon, players can try out a new demo of the game! This demo lets up to four players team up and experience a portion of the game’s world before it officially launches.
