
As October approaches, Netflix is letting subscribers know what new movies and TV shows are coming next month. On Wednesday, the streaming service announced the full list of titles for October, including the return of a couple of fan favorites.
As a huge Netflix fan, I’m already marking my calendar for October! We’re getting new seasons of two shows I’m really into: The Diplomat returns on October 16th, and The Witcher is back on October 30th – and this time, Liam Hemsworth is taking over as Geralt, which I’m super curious about. Plus, if I need a good laugh, more episodes of the hilarious Nobody Wants This are dropping later in the month. It’s going to be a good month for binge-watching!

The Netflix series, *The Game: You Never Play Alone*, follows a dedicated game developer who confronts sexism and fights back after facing intense harassment both online and in person.
This Netflix documentary, *Rockstar: DUKI from the End of the World*, offers a personal look into the life and career of Argentine trap artist Duki. It follows his journey from local rap battles to becoming a successful and celebrated musician.
October 3rd
In the Netflix series *Genie, Make a Wish*, a lively genie is released after being trapped for a thousand years. He’s tasked with granting wishes to a reserved woman, and the story follows whether his magic can bring romance and adventure into her ordinary life.
The Netflix series, *Monster: The Ed Gein Story*, tells the disturbing true story of Ed Gein, a notorious killer and grave robber who served as inspiration for many famous horror movie villains.
The New Force is a Netflix series based on a true story. Set in 1950s Sweden, it follows a struggling police department that decides to try something new: hiring its first female officers.
I just finished watching *Old Dog, New Tricks* on Netflix, and it’s a fun series! It’s about a vet named Antón who’s really struggling financially. He ends up taking a job at a high-end pet store, which is a huge change of pace for him – he’s used to working with farm animals, but now he’s selling fancy food and toys to owners of really spoiled pets. It’s a funny switch!
Rhythm + Flow France: After the Beat is a Netflix documentary that checks in with memorable contestants from the show, documenting their journeys as they try to launch their music careers after competing.
In the Netflix film *Steve*, a dedicated school principal works tirelessly to help his students, even as he deals with personal challenges, all unfolding over the course of a single, difficult day.

I just finished watching *Caramelo* on Netflix, and it was such a touching film! It’s about a chef whose life gets turned upside down by a serious diagnosis, but he finds a way to cope and even laugh again, all thanks to the amazing companionship of his dog. It’s a really heartwarming story, and I highly recommend it.
Is It Cake? Halloween is a Netflix series where talented bakers create incredibly realistic cakes designed to look like Halloween objects. Can you tell what’s cake and what’s not? It’s a spooky edition of the popular competition show!
Nero the Assassin is a French Netflix series set in 1504. It follows a skilled but merciless assassin who flees with his daughter, determined to shield her from dangerous foes and dark powers.

Okay, so I just finished watching this adorable Japanese series on Netflix called *Romantics Anonymous*. It’s about this incredibly talented chocolatier who gets super anxious and can’t even make eye contact, and this wealthy guy who has a condition where he can’t be touched by anyone. The really sweet part? For some reason, they don’t bother each other! It’s a really charming and quirky story about two people who find a connection despite their challenges.
Starting 5 is a new Netflix sports series that gives viewers an inside look at the 2024-25 NBA season, following stars Jaylen Brown, Kevin Durant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Tyrese Haliburton, and James Harden.
In the Netflix film, *The Time That Remains*, an elderly woman reflects on a passionate romance with a man who seems to never age, all while a detective investigates a troubling secret connected to a series of deaths.
October 17th
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise includes several films, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, and the more recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
