Fans are eagerly awaiting the third season of Jujutsu Kaisen, which promises to be a game-changer for the series. Although the main storyline finished in the manga earlier this year, the anime still needs to cover a significant portion of it. Season 3, being released as Culling Game Part 1, will likely be split into at least two or three parts, as this arc is the longest in the story and leads directly into the series’ ending. The season will premiere on January 8, 2026, with a special two-hour debut featuring the first two episodes. Both previous seasons are currently available to stream on Netflix while fans count down the days until Season 3 arrives.
I just saw the news on Netflix Anime’s official X account – the next season won’t be available everywhere right away. They’re only releasing it in certain parts of Asia, though they haven’t said exactly which ones. It looks like those of us in the US might have to wait a few weeks, possibly until all the episodes have aired. If you’re eager to watch, Crunchyroll is streaming it on January 8th, 2026, at 9:00 AM Pacific Time, just about an hour after it airs in Japan. Keep in mind that date is for the subtitled version; the dubbed episodes won’t be available for at least a couple of weeks after that.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Is Set to Introduce Several New Characters

Fans are eagerly anticipating the new season of the anime, largely due to the introduction of several new characters. The story has reached a critical point following the devastating Shibuya Incident, and things are only going to get worse. With Satoru Gojo out of the picture, the villain Kenjaku is now free to enact his plans as the jujutsu world falls into chaos. Before the Culling Game begins, the anime will show Itadori’s struggles and preparations, emphasizing how much worse things have become since the Shibuya Incident.
Yuta Okkotsu, who was the main character in the prequel movie, first appeared in the main storyline at the end of season two. Now that we know why he came back to Japan, the anime will introduce a villain known for being very divisive among fans. The next arc, ‘Perfect Preparation,’ will focus on the powerful and intimidating Zenin Clan and reveal what makes them so fearsome.
The Culling Game is a massive battle royale involving approximately a thousand sorcerers, including both those with long histories and those recently empowered. Jujutsu Tech students will inevitably encounter many of these sorcerers during the game, and some will surprisingly become allies as the story reaches its climax.
