Netflix will continue removing HBO shows in November, with all five seasons of a popular HBO drama being taken down. This follows previous removals of series like Insecure, Ballers, and Band of Brothers after Netflix’s deal with HBO ended. Now, two years after adding the show, the entire series will no longer be available on Netflix.
If you’re a fan of the HBO drama Six Feet Under, you have just a few days left to watch all five seasons on Netflix. Created by Alan Ball, who also wrote American Beauty, the show originally aired from 2001 to 2005 and is considered one of HBO’s best. Six Feet Under follows the Fisher family as they run a funeral home in Los Angeles, and stars Peter Krause, Michael C. Hall, Frances Conroy, Lauren Ambrose, Freddy Rodriguez, Mathew St. Patrick, and Rachel Griffiths. All 63 episodes will no longer be available on Netflix after November 1st.
Six Feet Under Is Must-Watch TV
It’s hard to overstate how brilliant Six Feet Under is, and how much it contributed to HBO becoming a leader in television. The show was part of a new generation of cable programs that proved networks could create high-quality, critically acclaimed content comparable to movies. Unlike traditional shows with clear-cut heroes, Six Feet Under focused on complex, flawed characters. It told the story of the Fisher family’s journey through grief and personal growth, moving away from simple, self-contained episodes to a longer, more connected narrative.
As a huge fan, I can tell you that Six Feet Under really doesn’t lose steam – it’s consistently amazing throughout all five seasons. Seriously, almost every season has a ‘Certified Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes with scores of 90% or higher! What I loved most was how the show pulled you in and made you feel things. It dealt with big questions about life, death, and who we are, and the characters were so well-developed that you couldn’t help but get completely invested in their stories. And the finale, “Everyone’s Waiting”? It’s legendary – often called one of the best TV finales ever. So if you’re thinking about watching all five seasons, trust me, it’s totally worth the time and the emotional journey. You won’t be disappointed!
Where to Stream Six Feet Under After It Leaves Netflix?
Even though Six Feet Under is leaving Netflix, it will still be available to stream. Because it’s an HBO show, all five seasons will continue to be on HBO Max.
Netflix users will still have lots of new content to enjoy. Starting November 1st, shows and movies like the Back to the Future trilogy, Broadchurch (seasons 1-3), Crazy Rich Asians, Elvis, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Ocean’s 8 will be available, even as Six Feet Under departs the service.
