December usually brings holiday cheer, but Netflix subscribers are facing some disappointing news. After announcing the removal of all fifteen seasons of the hit show Supernatural, the streaming service will also be losing a popular DC series. Fans of that show will soon no longer be able to watch it on Netflix.
All eight seasons of the TV show Arrow will be removed from Netflix next month, on December 18th. Fans have until December 17th to finish watching the series. It’s not yet known where Arrow will be available to stream after it leaves Netflix, but because it’s a DC show produced by Warner Bros., HBO Max is a likely possibility.
Premiering on The CW in 2012, Arrow launched the Arrowverse, a shared universe of television series based on DC Comics. This franchise expanded to include shows like The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, and Batwoman. The series, starring Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, is widely recognized for making superhero TV shows popular as interconnected franchises and for delivering memorable episodes and events, notably the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover.
What Will Happen To The Other Arrowverse Series On Netflix?

With Arrow leaving Netflix, other shows from the Arrowverse will likely follow. The agreement between The CW and Netflix is ending, meaning each show will eventually be removed once its individual license expires. Currently, Black Lightning will stay on Netflix until September 1, 2026, Supergirl until December 15, 2026, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow until September 2, 2027, and The Flash – the final Arrowverse show to air on The CW – will remain available until November 28, 2028. You can currently stream Batwoman, Stargirl, and Superman & Lois on HBO Max.
Is Anything Else Big Leaving Netflix in December?

Fans of The CW shows on Netflix are facing a tough December. In addition to the previously announced removal of all 15 seasons of Supernatural and the series Arrow, The 100 will also be leaving the streaming service on December 18th. If you want to rewatch or binge any of these shows – Arrow, Supernatural, or The 100 – you’ll need to do so quickly!
