Netflix Just Quietly Added A Bonus For KPop Demon Hunters (But There’s A Catch)

Netflix’s animated musical, *KPop Demon Hunters*, is still a huge hit with viewers! Since its debut in June, the show – featuring the exciting Huntr/x team of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, and a fantastic soundtrack – has become the streamer’s most popular movie ever, racking up over 325 million views. And this week, Netflix gave fans an extra special surprise with a new bonus addition to the film.

Netflix added a new series, *KPop Demon Hunters Lyric Videos*, to its lineup on October 8th, joining the existing movie and sing-along version. The series is available globally and lets fans sing along to five popular songs from the soundtrack – “How It’s Done,” “Golden,” “Soda Pop,” and “Takedown & Free.” While lyric videos aren’t currently available for “Your Idol” and “This is What it Sounds Like,” Netflix hinted that more songs will be added soon. Fans can also find lyric videos for all the movie’s songs on the Sony Pictures Animation YouTube channel, where the video for “Golden” has already garnered an impressive 491 million views.

KPop Demon Hunters Is a Massive Hit for Netflix

It’s not surprising that Netflix now has lyric videos available, considering how popular the movie *KPop Demon Hunters* has become. The film, about a K-pop girl group who secretly fight demons, has been a huge success, even inspiring Funko Pop figures and a sketch on *Saturday Night Live*.

The movie’s catchy K-pop songs, compelling story, and colorful animation have made it a massive hit for Netflix, becoming their most-watched English-language film ever. It has consistently stayed popular since its release. The soundtrack has also been incredibly successful, reaching the top of the Billboard 200 chart for two weeks and achieving a rare feat by placing four songs in the top 10 of the Hot 100 chart – something that hasn’t happened in almost 30 years.

There’s More KPop Demon Hunters on the Way

Netflix is building on the success of its hit show, *KPop Demon Hunters*, starting with releases like the sing-along and lyric video versions. Discussions are underway with Sony Pictures for an animated sequel, though plans are still in the early stages. Additionally, Sony Pictures submitted a new short film, “Debut: A KPop Demon Hunters Story,” to the rating board in September, but details about its release – including when and where it will be available – haven’t been announced yet.

For now, it seems that KPop Demon Hunters is here to stay, giving fans plenty to look forward to.
