With so many streaming services available, it’s hard to know where to watch our favorite movies or how long they’ll stay available. Streaming platforms are always changing what they offer, and recently, Netflix lost a popular 2024 blockbuster—a movie that made almost a billion dollars in theaters—to a competitor.
Last year’s blockbuster, Despicable Me 4, continued its success by becoming a popular choice on Netflix after it was added in February. However, it left Netflix on December 28th and became available on Peacock the very same day. This animated comedy is the sixth installment in the Despicable Me series and features Steve Carell reprising his role as Gru, a former supervillain turned secret agent, who must relocate his family and Minions when his old enemy, Maxime Le Mal, seeks revenge.

What’s New on Peacock?
In addition to Book Club: The Next Chapter and the season finale of Kimora: Back In The Fab Lane on December 30th, Despicable Me 4 is one of the last major additions Peacock will make in 2025. Throughout December, the streaming service also added several other titles, including The Addams Family, A Christmas Carol, The Martian, and Paul Blart: Mall Cop. Peacock’s library will expand further in the new year, with the How to Train Your Dragon movies and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom becoming available on January 1st.
