Due to the regular activation and termination of streaming contracts, it’s common for services like Netflix to experience shifts in their offerings. September is expected to be one such month with major changes, as Netflix plans to drop several popular films and TV shows.
For this week, Netflix has unveiled its September newsletter, highlighting all the new content set to arrive on the platform next month. Notably, the newsletter provides a list of titles that will be leaving Netflix soon, and it appears that some popular ones are slated for departure.
On September 1st, the most significant day for goodbyes among movies, you’ll find blockbusters such as “Anchorman,” “Barbarian,” “Us,” “MacGruber,” “The Notebook,” and “Sicario” leaving Netflix’s collection. So, if you want to catch these films, make sure to watch them before August 31st. That gives viewers a little over a week to enjoy these titles on Netflix before they depart.
For the remainder of this month, “Departures” movie series will persist. Notably, “Mad Max: Fury Road” is scheduled to depart on September 9th, marking its exit only a few months following its debut.
The television lineup on Netflix will experience significant changes in September, as several popular shows are set to depart. Towards the middle of the month, you’ll notice that the first two seasons of “The Chosen” and critically-acclaimed HBO dramas like “Band of Brothers” and “The Pacific” will no longer be available. As we move further into September, beloved sitcom “The Good Place” and two seasons of the hit comedy series “Chappelle’s Show” from Comedy Central will also bid farewell to Netflix.
