The highly anticipated Spring 2026 anime season has arrived, and Netflix has announced its latest lineup of shows. 2026 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for anime enthusiasts! Netflix started the year strong with visually stunning series like Cosmic Princess Kaguya and Love Through a Prism. Unlike Crunchyroll, which releases all its new shows at the beginning of each season, Netflix adds series throughout the month – including both original content and revivals of older favorites. While Netflix doesn’t offer as many shows as Crunchyroll, each one is carefully selected to be unique and appealing to a global audience. Now that April is here, the platform has already begun streaming Season 2 of Dorohedoro and is preparing to release more popular titles.
I’m really excited for the return of the One Piece anime! It’s moving into the Elbaph Arc, which is part of the Final Saga. Things are changing a bit with the schedule, though – instead of new episodes every week, we’ll be getting 26 episodes throughout the year. Netflix has been announcing new anime releases, and they just shared a list of eight more series coming in April and May of 2026. We don’t have exact dates for everything yet, but Netflix says they’ll be announcing those soon.
Netflix Confirms a New List of Series For Spring 2026

I noticed on March 31st that the official account posted a list of eight shows, but didn’t give much information about them. It looks like most of these shows already have several seasons and you can find them streaming elsewhere. Here’s what they listed:
- Blue Lock
- Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation
- My Dress-Up Darling
- Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2
- Assassination Classroom
- Shangri-La Frontier
- Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom
- Horimiya
Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen is the most talked-about season so far. The anime just finished its third season with a shocking cliffhanger, pausing the story mid-way through the Culling Game Arc. While we don’t have a release date for Season 3 on Netflix yet, Season 2 is finally coming to the platform after a three-year wait. Both seasons are currently available in many Asian countries, but Western viewers have had to wait longer.
I’m so excited about the new anime coming to the platform! Some shows, like Blue Lock and Musoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, already have multiple seasons, but we’re still waiting to find out if they’ll all be available right away or released over time. And Overlord – seriously, it’s often called one of the greatest isekai ever – started streaming on March 31st, which is awesome! They’ve even added the third movie from the series, released this year. This is just the initial lineup though, and I have a feeling we’ll be getting even more confirmations for April and May soon!
