
I was really excited to see Netflix announced what’s coming to the service in January 2026! They’re getting a jump start on the holiday rush, releasing their full list of new movies, shows, and specials way back on Wednesday. It’s great to know what I can look forward to in the new year so early!
January brings a lot of new movies and TV shows, but the biggest releases are coming later in the month. Keep an eye out for The Rip on Netflix, premiering January 16th, starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
The fourth season of the popular show Bridgerton will begin streaming on Netflix January 29th. However, this is only the first half of the season, with more episodes coming out later.

January 1st

I absolutely love Red Fish, Blue Fish on Netflix! It’s such a fun show for the whole family. Watching Red and Blue explore the ocean is always an adventure – they’re either soaring high or diving deep, and they’re always getting into playful situations, like searching for hidden treasure. It’s never a dull moment with these two!
Love from 9 to 5 is a Netflix series about a dedicated worker and the boss’s attractive son who find themselves rivals for the top job at a big underwear company. Their competition gets complicated when romantic feelings start to develop.
My Korean Boyfriend is a Netflix reality series where five Brazilian women journey to South Korea to connect with the men they’ve fallen for, all inspired by the world of K-dramas.
Run Away is a British Netflix series starring James Nesbitt and Ruth Jones. It’s based on the popular Harlan Coben novel and follows a father desperately searching for his daughter after she goes missing.
Time Flies is a Netflix series about two women recently released from prison. Desperate for a fresh start, they start a pest control business, but a dangerous client threatens to drag them back into their old criminal lives.

The Netflix series Land of Sin follows a detective investigating the disappearance of a teenager. The case hits close to home for the detective and uncovers deep-rooted conflicts and loyalties within the community.

Every Monday night, Netflix will stream WWE’s Raw, a live event featuring top wrestlers, exciting matches, and all the drama you’d expect from the world of professional wrestling.
January 6th
In the third season of Pokémon Horizons, titled “Rising Hope Part 1”, Liko, Roy, Dot, and Ult team up to discover what’s causing a strange pink mist that’s making Pokémon sick everywhere.
January 7th

In his first Netflix comedy special, Marcello Hernández: American Boy, Saturday Night Live performer Marcello Hernández talks about growing up Latino, sharing funny stories about his family – including wild dance competitions and memorable advice from his mom.
Unlocked: A Jail Experiment is a Netflix series that follows a sheriff in Arizona who tries a new approach at a local correctional facility. He gives inmates more responsibility and control, and the series explores the results of this experiment.

His & Hers is a Netflix series about a divorced couple – a police officer and a journalist – who find themselves competing to solve the same murder case, while also suspecting each other of being involved.

January 12th
As a wrestling fan, I’m really excited about this! Starting in 2026, Monday Night Raw is going live on Netflix every week. It promises all the action, drama, and incredible athleticism you’d expect from WWE, but now it’s a truly live event experience. It’s a big move, and I can’t wait to see how it plays out!
January 13th
Season 2 of The Boyfriend (Japan) follows a new group of men in the snowy landscapes of Hokkaido as they experience the ups and downs of first love, unreturned feelings, and past relationships. This Netflix series explores their blossoming friendships and romances.

Love Through a Prism is a Netflix series set in London during the early 1900s. It follows a young Japanese woman who attends a prestigious art school and unexpectedly falls in love with a talented rival student.
In the seventh part of the Netflix series The Upshaws, Regina decides to run for office while Bennie’s auto shop struggles. Through it all, the Upshaw family stays true to themselves, embracing life with plenty of noise and affection.
The Netflix series To Love, To Lose tells the story of a forbidden romance that pits two families against each other. It centers on a woman desperately trying to rescue her family’s restaurant who unexpectedly falls for the cold and distant son of the man threatening to take it all away.

In the Netflix film, The Rip, a group of Miami police officers find millions of dollars in a hidden, abandoned house. This discovery creates tension and distrust within the team, and they start to question who they can truly depend on as others find out about the money.

Netflix’s Cosmic Princess Kaguya tells the story of Iroha, whose ordinary life changes when a free-spirited girl named Kaguya, who ran away from the Moon, moves in with her. Kaguya persuades Iroha to collaborate with her in a virtual world.
In the Netflix series Finding Her Edge, a former figure skater comes out of retirement to try and save her family’s ice rink. She teams up with a new partner, all while still harboring feelings for her first love – her former skating partner.
January 23rd
Skyscraper Live – a Netflix event – features Alex Honnold, a renowned free climber, as he attempts to scale one of the world’s tallest skyscrapers in a live broadcast from Taipei, Taiwan. It’s a thrilling, high-stakes climb!
Inspired by a true story, The Big Fake is a Netflix film about a young artist in 1970s Rome who starts creating forgeries for criminal organizations.
January 26th
Every Monday night, Netflix hosts a live WWE event called Monday Night Raw. Featuring top WWE Superstars, the show brings fans live wrestling action, compelling storylines, and incredible athletic performances each week.

I just finished watching Mike Epps’ new Netflix special, Delusional, and it was fantastic! This is his fifth special with Netflix, and he absolutely kills it. He’s always been funny, but this one feels really fresh. He talks about his journey to becoming a star, and how a little bit of self-belief – and a lot of hard work – got him where he is today. Seriously, it’s packed with hilarious stories and moments you won’t forget. If you’re looking for a good laugh, definitely check it out!
January 29th
Season 4 of the Netflix series Bridgerton follows Benedict (Luke Thompson), the second eldest brother, as he unexpectedly finds himself drawn to a mysterious woman he meets at a masquerade ball. While his brothers have found happiness in marriage, Benedict isn’t eager to settle down – until he encounters this captivating Lady in Silver.
Undated January Releases
Free Bert is a Netflix series about a lively and somewhat chaotic father and his family. They stir things up when they start attending a new, exclusive school and try to navigate the world of snobbish classmates.
This Netflix documentary tells the story of Take That, one of Britain’s most famous boy bands. It features previously unseen footage and explores their journey from becoming popular, to splitting up, and then reuniting to achieve incredible success again.
