Netflix Users Have Just 3 Days Left To Watch One of DreamWorks’ Biggest Box Office Disappointments

Though DreamWorks Animation started relatively recently in 1998, it’s become the most financially successful animation studio worldwide, earning over $17.5 billion from more than 50 films. They’ve had huge successes with movies like Shrek 2, How to Train Your Dragon, and Kung Fu Panda. However, not every film has been a hit, and one of DreamWorks‘ biggest failures is soon leaving Netflix.

As a movie buff, I remember when Mr. Peabody & Sherman came out. While it made a decent $275 million globally, it actually wasn’t a huge success for DreamWorks. Considering the massive $145 million budget – and that doesn’t even include all the extra costs! – it ended up being one of their biggest flops. The story follows the super-smart dog Mr. Peabody and his adopted son Sherman as they try to fix a mess with time travel and save the future. I noticed it’s been on Netflix for a while, but if you want to watch it there, you’ll have to catch it before February 1st, because it’s leaving the platform then.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman Is a High-Energy Adventure Perfect for the Entire Family

I really think Mr. Peabody and Sherman gets a bad rap. Everyone focuses on how poorly it did in theaters, but honestly, it’s a really good movie! It came out during a tough time for DreamWorks – Penguins of Madagascar didn’t do well, but How to Train Your Dragon 2 was a huge hit. Still, Mr. Peabody and Sherman was well-received by critics and audiences. It’s ‘Certified Fresh’ on Rotten Tomatoes with an 81% rating from critics, which makes it one of DreamWorks’ best movies ever! People seemed to enjoy it too, giving it a 73% score on the Popcornmeter.

While not as iconic as DreamWorks hits like Shrek and Madagascar, Mr. Peabody & Sherman is a great choice for a family movie night. It’s a surprisingly funny and clever adventure with a time-travel story that’s both heartwarming and entertaining for everyone. The animation is top-notch, as you’d expect from DreamWorks, and the voice acting by Ty Burrell and Max Charles is excellent. Those familiar with the classic Rocky & Friends cartoons will appreciate how well this movie captures the spirit of the original Peabody’s Improbable History segments.

Where to Stream Mr. Peabody & Sherman After It Leaves Netflix?

Right now, you can only stream the movie Mr. Peabody & Sherman on Netflix. If you’re a subscriber, now’s the time to watch it before it leaves! After that, you’ll need to rent or buy it online, but it might become available on other streaming services later on.
