A major streaming service has secured the rights to turn Jess Walter’s popular political thriller, So Far Gone, into a new series. They won a competitive bidding process and are moving forward with the show immediately, skipping the typical pilot phase.
The upcoming series, So Far Gone, centers around a journalist who is drawn out of isolation when he must rescue his grandchildren from their dangerous father and find his lost daughter. Mark Bomback (known for his work on Defending Jacob and The Wolverine) will serve as the showrunner and lead the adaptation, according to Deadline.
