Next year, Netflix will release both the second season of its live-action One Piece series and a live-action version of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The new One Piece season will continue the story in the Earth Kingdom and introduce a highly anticipated character: Toph. Netflix has now shared a first look at the live-action Toph, ending the wait for fans to see how the blind earthbender will be portrayed.
Young actress Miya Cech will play Toph in the upcoming live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, staying true to the original story. Despite her character’s blindness, Toph is a remarkably powerful earthbender, quickly becoming one of the most skilled in the world. Like the designs for Aang, Katara, and Sokka, Toph’s appearance closely matches her animated version. Cech seems perfectly cast in the role of Aang’s earthbending teacher, as revealed in the first poster for season two. Netflix has also confirmed that the trailer for season two will be released this week. You can see the poster below.
A Big 2026 For Toph

I’m really excited to see the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender return to the big screen next October! The new movie will follow Aang and his friends as adults, and it’s great news that Toph will be back too. There’s just one change: a new voice actor. Michaela Jill Murphy originally voiced Toph in the series, but since the characters are older now, Dionne Quan will be taking on the role. Interestingly, Quan isn’t an earthbender herself, but she is visually impaired, which I think could add a really interesting layer to the character.
Miya Cech, who plays Toph in the new Netflix live-action series Avatar: The Last Airbender, has said that this version of the character will be slightly older than in the original animated show. However, she’ll still have the same fiery and energetic personality fans love, including her nickname for one character, “Twinkle Toes.” Cech promises the show will include both familiar elements from the original series and exciting new content.
