Fans of romance anime can look forward to a new season of a popular Netflix series this fall, as the streaming service recently revealed a new promotional image. Netflix has become well-known for offering a diverse range of content, and anime has become a major part of what it offers, with several shows available only on the platform. Traditionally, anime has been closely linked to Shonen Jump, but Netflix is now home to not one, but two anime series based on Shonen Jump manga, including its biggest ongoing romance, Blue Box. This solidifies Netflix’s position as a key player in the anime world.
At Jump Festa 2026, it was announced that a second season of the anime Blue Box will premiere on Netflix in fall 2026. A new promotional image was revealed, and the official anime account has since shared another, building excitement for the upcoming season. The teaser suggests that winter and the holiday season will play a significant role in the story.

The first season of Blue Box covered about 80 chapters of the manga, ending with the Autumn Training Arc. The next season will likely focus on winter events, and recent teasers hint at this change. The latest teaser, though it doesn’t show any characters, features a Christmas tree in the gymnasium, suggesting that Christmas and the winter holidays will be a major part of the story. With the new season coming out this fall, the teaser really emphasizes the seasonal themes the series is known for.
With Chinatsu and Taiki clearly falling for each other, and Taiki preparing to confess his feelings – perhaps during an upcoming holiday – the anime is building towards a crucial moment in their relationship. Expect some challenges to keep things interesting, and maybe even new characters to add to the show’s realistic feel. What makes Blue Box special is how it combines romance with exciting sports action, and that balance will become even stronger. All of this suggests that Blue Box Season 2 could be Netflix’s biggest romance anime – and series – of 2026.
