As a big fan of Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, I’m really excited to finally see Netflix and Funko releasing Pops based on the movie! It’s a little late, but hey, better late than never, right? They’re doing Pops of Victor Frankenstein, played by Oscar Isaac, and of course, the Creature, brought to life by Jacob Elordi. Honestly, I’m a bit surprised they didn’t include Elizabeth (Mia Goth) too – her costumes in the film were made for the Funko Pop treatment, and it feels like this might be the only series they do based on the movie.
We’re hoping an Elizabeth Funko Pop will be available soon, but for now, you can collect Victor and The Creature. Both figures are exclusive to Funko and will officially be released today, December 3rd, at 9am Pacific Time / 12pm Eastern Time, right here on the Funko Shop. Listings went live early, so you might be able to pre-order, but don’t wait too long – they’re likely to sell out quickly!

Guillermo del Toro’s film is a passionate tribute to Mary Shelley’s original Frankenstein novel – a story he’s deeply admired since childhood, even calling it his personal inspiration. He’s dreamed of bringing it to life for years, and the final result is truly special. As Shawn Lealos noted in a review for Comicbook, it’s a genuine masterpiece.
Guillermo del Toro’s take on Frankenstein draws more inspiration from Mary Shelley’s original novel than from the classic Universal horror film. Instead of a story about a monster rampaging and being chased by villagers, del Toro explores the reasons why Victor Frankenstein created the creature in the first place. The film centers on the broken family dynamics that led to the creature’s creation, and the further destruction that followed. It’s less of a traditional “monster movie” and more of a heartbreaking Gothic love story. Because of this approach, del Toro revitalized a well-known horror tale, and the result is a truly exceptional film.
