A popular anime series is returning to Netflix later this month, and a brand new trailer has just been released. BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai Shares New Trailer Ahead of Netflix Premiere
Get ready for BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai! This new anime series premieres globally on Netflix February 26th with 13 episodes. It continues the Baki story, introducing the legendary samurai Musashi Miyamoto as the main villain – resurrected in the present day using advanced technology. Naoya Uchida will voice Musashi in the Japanese version, and the English dub actor is still to be announced.
The anime series BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai is based on Keisuke Itagaki’s manga. TMS Entertainment produced the show with direction by Toshiki Hirano. Tatsuhiko Urahata handled the series’ composition, Shingo Ishikawa designed the characters, Yuriko Sano edited the footage, and Kenji Fujisawa created the music. The opening theme song, “FURUBOKO,” is performed by WANIMA, and Novel Core performs the ending theme, “Mountain Top.”
What’s Going on With Baki?
Baki is facing his most challenging fight yet, now that weapons are allowed in the underground arena. To make things even more intense, a legendary samurai is being brought back to life! The new anime’s story hints at a secret lab beneath the Tokyo Skytree, owned by a combat expert named Mitsunari Tokugawa. There, scientists are attempting a dangerous experiment: cloning and reviving the famous swordsman Musashi Miyamoto using advanced technology, bringing him into the present day.
Miyamoto Musashi, a legendary swordsman considered the greatest warrior of all time, has suddenly reappeared in modern Japan, throwing the world into chaos. This event draws in Baki, his father Yujiro, and other elite fighters from the underground arena – all individuals dedicated to the art of battle. Now, an epic showdown to determine the strongest warrior throughout history is about to begin!
