Netflix has created original content in almost every genre imaginable. They now offer a huge library of original movies and TV shows, including popular romantic comedies, highly-rated dramas, and funny comedies. Fans have been waiting for over a year, and now Netflix’s most popular legal drama is returning with a new season.
Season 4 of The Lincoln Lawyer is now available to watch on Netflix. Starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, the series follows a hopeful defense attorney in Los Angeles who works out of his Lincoln Town Car. The new season, consisting of 10 episodes and based on Michael Connelly’s novel The Law of Innocence, premiered on February 5th. Plus, a fifth season has already been greenlit!
The Lincoln Lawyer Is One of Netflix’s Best Shows of the 2020s
Netflix has produced many excellent shows in recent years, and The Lincoln Lawyer is definitely among the best. With consistently high ratings from both critics (90% on Rotten Tomatoes) and viewers (86%), the series expertly combines compelling courtroom cases – both smaller, self-contained stories and larger, season-long arcs – with the complicated personal lives of its characters. This makes for a captivating and addictive viewing experience. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is particularly impressive as Mickey Haller, bringing both charisma and realism to the role, and the supporting cast delivers equally strong, well-developed characters full of humor and emotional resonance.
While official critic scores aren’t available yet, early reviews of Season 4 suggest it’s an improvement over previous seasons. The new 10-episode story centers around Mickey Haller as he fights to clear his name in a murder trial. Critics are praising the season’s entertainment value and strong performances, with some noting its faithfulness to the source material. According to Screen Rant, it’s “deeply entertaining,” and CBR calls it a “satisfying ride” that cements the show’s place as one of Netflix’s top series. Some believe it could even receive the same high praise as Season 3, which achieved a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes and garnered 1.64 billion viewing minutes during its first week. Whether Season 4 will reach the same level of success remains to be seen.
Will There Be a The Lincoln Lawyer Season 5?
Great news for fans of The Lincoln Lawyer! Netflix has renewed the show for a fifth season, even before Season 4 has finished airing. While we don’t have a release date yet, Season 5 will have 10 episodes and will be based on Michael Connelly’s novel Resurrection Walk, the seventh book in the series. Filming is scheduled to begin in Los Angeles in March, and most of the main cast – including Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, and Cobie Smulders – are expected to return. Keep an eye out for future announcements regarding any new cast members or further updates.
