Netflix finished 2025 strong thanks to its popular series, which attracted a lot of viewers. Even without its most successful show, the streaming service is starting the new year well. A new thriller series is already a hit, quickly reaching 80 million hours viewed.
The new thriller series Run Away is quickly becoming a hit, following in the footsteps of popular Harlan Coben mysteries like Missing You and Fool Me Once. Released between December 29th and January 4th, Run Away climbed to number 2 on the Top 10 Shows Chart and racked up over 79.5 million views in its first week – it’s likely the show has already surpassed 80 million views.
What Are Netflix’s Harlan Coben Mysteries?

I’m a huge Harlan Coben fan, and it’s amazing to see how popular his books are – over 90 million copies sold worldwide! He’s written thirty-five novels so far, including favorites like The Boy From The Woods, Tell No One, and Win. I just finished his newest one, Gone Before Goodbye, which he wrote with Reese Witherspoon, and it’s fantastic. It’s so cool to see his stories come to life on screen too – Netflix has adapted several of his books, and Run Away is the latest one. He just keeps getting better and better!
Run Away is the latest of twelve Harlan Coben thrillers now available on Netflix. The collection includes Run Away, Stay Close, Fool Me Once, Missing You, Safe, The Stranger, Just One Look, Caught, Hold Tight, The Woods, The Innocent, and Gone For Good. With 35 of Coben’s stories already adapted, you can expect even more to be added to Netflix in the future.
The film Run Away follows Simon (James Nesbitt) as he desperately searches for his runaway daughter, Paige (Ellie de Lange). He eventually locates her, but is heartbroken to find she’s struggling with drug use. The situation escalates when he discovers she’s with someone, leading to a violent confrontation and causing him to lose contact with her again. Determined, Simon embarks on another search, which forces him to navigate a dangerous criminal world and puts his family at risk as he tries to bring Paige home.
Run Away is now streaming on Netflix.
